Beta 2b - Resizing the window makes a funny pattern.
Posted by: m1ck - 07-03-2011, 08:33 AM - Forum: 998 - Replies (11)

It's really fun to play MM in a teeny window. Smile Not really, but it's doable, and I've been pushing the game engine that way. No crashing, but changing the size back to larger results in oddness.

Attaching a screenshot. I use a timer for MM screenshots, to give myself a chance to resume. Ignore the
1
in the pic; it's an artifact from the countdown.
Beta 2 - random "error beep" when changing to full screen or back to window
Posted by: m1ck - 07-02-2011, 06:32 PM - Forum: 998 - Replies (8)

There's no pattern that I can identify, but occasionally, there's a system
error
beep when I move from FS to window and back again.

I've also had the disappearing words on the Menu screen (I see that's a fix in progress).

The map
swoop
is uneven and sometimes moves fast, then slow; it can be quite disorienting.
Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around [TODO]
Posted by: Semi-Native - 07-02-2011, 11:04 AM - Forum: 998 - Replies (5)

I mentioned this in the Beta 2b topic, and I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this:

Sometimes (not always), when I get to a Save point, my cursor jumps to the bottom right of the screen, which is the hot spot for my screensaver to come up. When I get rid of the screensaver, the Save dialog box is there, so the game doesn't crash, it's just an odd behavior.

 Request for replays (movies)
Posted by: VernJensen - 07-02-2011, 07:34 AM - Forum: 998 - Replies (8)

If you have completed any mansions, please send me the movie files for that mansion. This will make it easy for me to take realistic screenshots of the game, yet I can use fast-forward to get through it all pretty quickly to find good rooms. Thanks! Just zip them and email them to me at vern AT actionsoft DOT com.
Anybody left to beta test a new Mansion?
Posted by: SandyBean - 07-02-2011, 02:22 AM - Forum: A Yellow Submarine - Replies (16)

May not be the best timing, what with the beta testing going on for MMI HD version, but I have a new MM2 mansion that is ready if anyone might be willing to beta test it?

It's called
A Yellow Submarine
, and it's XL, with a very sweet and helpful little fellow that actually likes Jack ! (Yes, Jack has Friends !)

Please let me know if anyone has time, and also how to go about zip and emailing it !

Thanks,
Beta 2 - Tomb of Princes HARD [Closed]
Posted by: Semi-Native - 07-01-2011, 05:46 PM - Forum: 998 - Replies (9)

Updated: This thread is now closed. Please open another one for Beta3 if you need to post for Tomb of Princes HARD.

15291 Jack stuck behind wall (see pic). He jumped off the vine to get the coins in 15292 and now he can't get out of the wall in either room.

Beta 2 - Hiding in Fullscreen [Fixed: Beta3]
Posted by: triforceguy1 - 07-01-2011, 10:20 AM - Forum: 998 - Replies (2)

Hey,

I tried using the CMD-H shortcut when he game was in fullscreen and I noticed that when I went back to the game, the small bar at the top disappeared, it would appear in window mode and it wouldn't go back to fullscreen until you quit it.
Beta 2b [Closed/Newer version available]
Posted by: VernJensen - 07-01-2011, 01:21 AM - Forum: 998 - Replies (9)

This is an optional update if you want a version that fixes (only) the problems below.

www.actionsoft.com/files/temp/MidnightMansionHDbeta2b.zip

FIXES:
- Fixed small spiders to bounce/move properly! They had ALL swapped their
bounciness
value with their
delay before falling again
value.
- Fixed movies to record jumping if space bar (default) was used to jump.
- Possibly fixed Carol's issue where she can't play any mansions.

This does NOT fix fullscreen slowdowns or a few other things reported recently that I haven't gotten to yet.

Update: please do not test with this version - a newer version is available. --Rob
Ability to have multiple liquids
Posted by: triforceguy1 - 06-30-2011, 09:50 PM - Forum: Game Improvements - Replies (2)

Hey,

I thought it would be a good idea to be able to have Lava, Acid and Water in the same mansion rather than just one.

The reason I came up with this idea is because I had a idea for a mansion that needs both water and lava, I was going to use layer 6 bricks to hide the water or lava but I remembered that those substances appear in front of layer 6 bricks

What do you guys think?
Leon
