Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around [TODO] - Semi-Native - 07-02-2011 I mentioned this in the Beta 2b topic, and I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this: Sometimes (not always), when I get to a Save point, my cursor jumps to the bottom right of the screen, which is the hot spot for my screensaver to come up. When I get rid of the screensaver, the Save dialog box is there, so the game doesn't crash, it's just an odd behavior. Re: Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around - VernJensen - 07-03-2011 Are you playing in windowed or fullscreen mode when this happens? And this is the *system* cursor that is jumping? (i.e. the arrow, not the ghoul hand?) That is indeed very odd. Re: Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around - VernJensen - 07-03-2011 Also, if you're playing fullscreen: it's possible that the cursor was *already* in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and you just didn't know it, because it's not visible when fullscreen. And, screensavers might not activate when you're fullscreen, but when you save, the game switches to windowed mode, which would possibly allow the screensaver to activate. Is this maybe what's happening? Re: Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around - Semi-Native - 07-03-2011 Vern, it is only when I'm playing in full screen that this happens, so it's possible that the cursor is already there. The thing is, it happens often, and it has never happened in the original MM1 or in MM2, which I always play full screen. Re: Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around - Semi-Native - 07-03-2011 Oh, I forgot to answer your other question. It is the system cursor, not the game cursor. Re: Beta 2b - Cursor jumping around - VernJensen - 07-06-2011 Okay, so I've duplicated this on my system. It happens the *second* (and subsequent) times you switch from fullscreen to windowed mode. This is an SDL bug, so I've reported it there, but it'll likely be a while before they fix it. :-( |
