Until december 2010 Mac users had access to what was called
Get Mac OS X software
under the apple menu. Now we have the App store instead. I am not sure if this is any better. I cannot find a way to download free trials in the App store, like I could before the change. Please tell me if I am wrong.

Hi All,

Just wanted to send out a very big and sincere thank you to the wonderful beta testers who came on board
A Yellow Submarine
and helped to launch it on it's voyage !!! They were so much fun to work with, and complimented each other's skills at finding glitches.

A huge thanks to: Grayson, Josephine, Mapman, and Sherryl199 [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]

Thanks also to Semi Native for her advice and for getting the mansion up so quick !

Hope you enjoy it, and feel free to comment, ask questions, make suggestions, or whatever !!!

Thanks

having great fun exploring the Yellow Submarine -- a big thanks to SandyBean for such a terrific mansion!

unfortunately, Jack's pretty stuck right now - he is in room 15100, hanging on to the vine for dear life and if he jumps right he lands on a short vine (room 15101) with nowhere to go except to jump again and fall to his death. it seems impossible to jump up on to the platform to proceed. any hints?

two other small things --

room 16091 seems like it should be dark until Jack retrieves the lamp, but Jack can see everything when he enters the room for the first time.

heading back from the save in 15698, as Jack enters room 15702 it seems impossible (although maybe Jack is not being smart enough??) to avoid being killed because the snakes move in so fast with not quite enough space to jump between them.
| Beta 4: Signs in front of escape doors |

I just found out that if there is a sign in front of an escape door, then when the return key is pressed the second time (to close the sign message) it actually triggers the escape door, kicking Jack out of the mansion he is playing.

Even though I used cheats I didn't get the rad text saying so. Instead but got my score on the online high score board as if I hadn't cheated.

When shutting the computer down while MMHD is open the app doesn't get quitted by the system, which other apps do, nor is there any message about quitting.

Hopefully this has been reported before in earlier version but here it goes

15702 jumping on the left up the brick wall pushes Jack to the room on the left and he dies.

15702 coming back is it possible to jump over the two scorpions, from left to right, without dying???

16103 (after adding extra lives) no light green monster! can it only die a certain amount of times?

15507 the uppermost yellow moving brick is turning back at the right end earlier than the dark line indicates. The others are OK.
After playing the game a bit, I've come to the conclusion that saving would be more user-friendly if it was handled without showing on a file system dialog box. Here's what I was thinking of:

When the user goes to save, a box comes up (like the pause box) that says simply
Save Game? Y/N
This box wouldn't interrupt fullscreen, unlike the current save box.
If the user clicks on Y, the usual occurs. Statue on pedestal.

Later, when the user goes to load, instead of showing a file-system box, it shows the 'choose mansion' map. When the user clicks on a mansion, the display changes to a very rough B/W sketch of the mansion, as if drawn on an old parchment by Jack. The save points are clearly visible. Clicking on one brings up some sort of graphical way of picking the different saves made at that point (maybe each save is listed by time and date, score, and secrets?). Then, when the user chooses, the game loads.

I'm not sure how this would work for custom mansions, but for the built-in ones, this solution would detract less from the flow of the game, a bit.

Thoughts?
