Nightmare Mansion keys

Have anyone been able to get ALL keys, open ALL doors and find all secrets in any Nightmare Mansion???I seem to get keys after I have been down a pole and can't get up again and use it.

Re: Nightmare Mansion keys

I have been able to do enter all rooms in the hard version but not to open all doors and get all secrets.

Re: Nightmare Mansion keys

Good to know becasue I reverted to Nightmare Mansion "normal" just to see if I missed something. I still can't get all keys (and money)!Modification - I still can't get all keys I need and I also had some to spare.

It would be nice if someone could count the keys. I am missing red keys in the "normal" version. Now I am playing the hard version and we'll see how it works.

Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
This is my last easy mansion but it is not easy at all.The other post indicates that it is possible to see the entire mansion.-Is this true?-Does it matter if I take the red door or the blue door, to visit the red or the blue house first with the multy colour key?-If you go right: the maze with all the gray doors: At the end it seems impossible to go further. Does this mean you have to come from the other side somehow to open them? All tips are welcome cause I'm not getting through after the second save.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Catwoman
You can visit all of the rooms, but it is not possible to open all of the doors.I don't believe it matters which door you go through first. I always take the red door just so I'm putting off the grey door puzzle area. The puzzle area is difficult, especially for beginner players. I know it took me awhile to figure it out and get through it.Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your last question.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
Well I first took the red door en blue area. After that the blue door and worked out the gray doors area. But now I'm stuck in 19096 with the 2 big zappers. Are you ment to cross that??? I can't do it. I want to go right in that room. No where else to go. For tonight I give up. Help would be appriciated.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Catwoman
No, you can't cross those zappers. To get to the other side you have to come from the other direction.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please

OK, After tonight I officially hate Falcon Mansion. I give up.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please

Don't give up. You say you've been through both sides? Just go back up, go to the other side and come back down.Good luck!

Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
It's just so frustrating. I first do the red part and use the red key to do the blue. I make it to the fare right (through the grey doors) (I don't have 2 yellow keys for the litttle room). I go down a bit at the right. Then I turn back to the room with the 2 big zappers. No crossing right? The room beneath: I do have 1 purple key but I cant make it to the right side of the room to go up again. And room 19098: don't you have to come from the left (and with a visible bridge) to get the money? I can't figure out the route you are supposed to take and again I'm stuck with 1 purple key left.

Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please

I do appriaciate the help. But since the suspend game doesn't seem to work, I have to replay a big part to get to the point to look up the room numbers you mention. And the grey doors which I managed to pass 2 times before, this time wont do what I want them to do. So again I give up for today extremely frustrated. I pulled all the handles a million times in different order but I can't get the blue key.
And the grey doors which I managed to pass 2 times before, this time wont do what I want them to do.
Falcon Manor Easy was the first mansion I ever played [and after playing the free 20% I bought the license immediately and played all night ] and those grey doors frustrated me too until I realized that there were someone who'd been thinking before making those rooms... Spending some time carefully noting what each lever does, the pay is seeing how one *must* pull to be able to get to the key. "I have to keep the silver blocks visible when pulling the lever with the purple marking to be able to get to the next room and the lever with the blue so that I can get back and change to gold and then go back in the level below to pull so that I can go down one level and pull and then go back up to get the key" [that was an example... but not an instruction ]The reward is double. Both the mental satisfaction of having solved a puzzle, and the excitement of being able to continue exploring the mansion. The key is to not give up, but be watching carefully what is happening around you
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
I'd rather have an instruction I don't know: the second time I solved it in some minutes but last sunday it would NOT work. I give it a try again in a couple of days.Any ideas about the suspend thing? It seems like sometimes you can resume the next day when you choose open game, and the next day it doesn't work. In falcon manor it takes forever to replay this part (especially with stubborn gray doors ... )

Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please

The room with the two zappers, Room 19096 you reach only half via the red route and the other half via the blue route. And that's the only way to get to both sides in the room below (19296) with the two purple doors.Room 19098 I always come in from above and can get the money. Just have to make sure you've got the gold/silver how you need them.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
Please, I still can't pass those gray doors, no mather how many times I go back and forth to change the silver/gold and through the upper or lower level. Ik cant get trough the door on the middel level to get the key. I won't try again without knowing what to do.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by rose
Elke I wish I could help you but I don't understand which grey doors you are talking about. In what room are they??
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Catwoman
For Room 18900, you need to go on the bottom floor and pull that lever first. Then you have to keep switching the gold/silver while doing the rest. I'll send you a PM with some more details.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please

Oh, room 18900! Well it might not be any consolation but I have always problem with this room. It takes forever before I get it right!

Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
Thanks Catwoman!!! Good news and bad. With your help I passed the doors (I don't think I can repeat what I did ...) and got quit a lot further. Eventually I went back and took the big poll on the complete right past the grey doors down. I did a lot of rooms all the way to the left (with new saves ) and ended in room 19290. However I don't have ANY keys to open te different doors along the way so they remain closed.Should I go down the poll in 19495?? It's my only option but then I leave the closed doors (with keys behind them) without opening them.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Catwoman
Yeah, you made it past the puzzle. Falcon Manor is one of the few (maybe only) mansion where you can't open all doors and get all the money. The lower section you're in is where that occurs.
------------------------
Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Elke
Mmmmmm ..so they're there for decorative purposes??? I think i passed 3 or more closed doors, and I'm quit sure there are no keys left in the part I visited.Well ... down the poll it is.

Re: Falcon Mansion Easy, help please
by Alan Falcon
Alan Falcon here. Yes, THE Falcon, of Falcon Manor (And Chateau de Medusa). Elke I'm sorry for all the frustration my puzzle has caused!I believe it is possible to visit every room, but not possible to open every door. The "extra" doors are different rewards and consolation prizes, depending on which keys you come down the pole with. I'm not sure if that information helps, but there you go! And I am sorry that this is the least-straightforward of all the included mansions in terms of "doing everything" in the mansion.

Spider Mansion - Normal Mode
by dlcatftwin
Hi Gang,i could use some assistance here.Of all the levels, I missed this one (Spider mansion in Normal or hard mode).Simply, is there a lantern somewhere that I missed in the first six wings (the 6 red doors)?I am now in the last areas (beyond the yellow doors), there are more dark rooms here, and Jack's getting slaughtered! Some light would help!If I did miss a lantern, please shed some light on where it is (oops, sorry for thr pun!).Many thanks,DLC

Re: Spider Mansion - Normal Mode

Hi!Yes there is a lantern in one of the left-hand sections at the beginning. I won't tell you which one, but it's to the left.Good luck. 8-)

Re: Spider Mansion - Normal Mode

I have found the lantern, but I can't get it! В As I walk in I can hear that I am stepping on a lever and then the trapdoors shut and I will fall into the lava if I cross, but I have no idea how to follow the gold coins up to the lantern.

Re: Spider Mansion - Normal Mode

Hi Everyone! I'm glad I came across this posting because I'm stuck in Spider Palace Normal. I've got to room 16703, got the green key, then followed up to the blue area through the electricity, but get stumped about how to get back to the green door. I can't seem to get across the two rolling platforms towards the purple key. Have I missed something really basic, or am I just thick? So far I've worked my way through all the mansions on Easy and Normal, and this is my last one. I've got stuck a few times, but eventually worked my way through it. This one is driving me crazy! Any hints? I'd be very grateful.... Maude ( ripping her hair out in London!) PS: What's this with the 7 and 9 keys? I don't get it....
------------------------
Re: Spider Mansion - Normal Mode
by Catwoman
The 7 and 9 keys on the number keypad allow you to jump further than using the arrow and space bar. And this will come in handy for the area you're needing to cross. I lost a few Jack's when going through that room. Timing of your jumps is important to make the jumps. And using the 7 and 9 keys will help you do it.
------------------------
Re: Spider Mansion - Normal Mode
by Maude
Great! Thanks Catwoman! I have set up my 7 and 9 keys to work in the options menu. So I AM on the right track... I thought for a while there I was losing it! really appreciate your advice. Will have a go this evening and report back! Maude

Question about secrets and Castle Doom
by Elke
Hoi,This is my first post and I'm a recent addict to MM. So far I have completed 3 houses on the easy level (hard enough). But now I have some questions. I hope someone can help.-When the game indicates that you have won: does that mean you have found the treasure room with the most gold or that you have actually found ALL rooms?-After completing I find that I only have 60&% of secrets? So WHAT am I missing? The small hidden rooms? I always try to walk trough the walls in all the rooms to see if they go somewhere and the maps show I havent missed any. I think there is one general thing I miss/don't know of, but I don't know what.-For example Room 16497 in Castle room (left of house). I CANT figure out how to cross the lava and get the money. Thanks
------------------------
Re: Question about secrets and Castle Doom
by Semi-Native
Hi Elke, and welcome to MM!In Room 16497, you can't cross the lava. Keep exploring for another approach to get that money. When you go through the exit door in the treasure room, it only means you've finished the game. If you finish with 60% secrets, then you've missed some things. Look for subtle clues everywhere (e.g. differences in tiles) in floors, ceilings and walls to find hidden treasure.Have fun, and good luck! 8-)
------------------------
Re: Question about secrets and Castle Doom
by Catwoman
Welcome Elke. We're all happy MM addicts here. Semi-Native gave you great advice. I just wanted to add a few things. Not all secrets are hidden rooms, sometimes it is something hidden in a room you're in. Secret rooms aren't usually shown on the map.
------------------------
Re: Question about secrets and Castle Doom
by Elke
Thanks for the welcome and the advice. I still think I'm missing something I don't know about. I know about hidden stuff just behind the pillars and trying/jumping left and right out of the rooms. I'll just keep trying. You can only walk, jump or use enter for the handles right? Are there no walkthroughs or tips per room number?Greetings!
------------------------
Re: Question about secrets and Castle Doom
by Semi-Native
You also use Enter to read the brown signs (commonly called BBB's), and don't forget the Down arrow key - there are sometimes hidden ladders and vines in floors.

Spider Palace
by Attila
I'm getting a little discouraged by Spider Palace (normal). I've gotten through the 6 doors on the top level, and I'm working on the two doors in the middle level (sorry if my descriptions are wrong, I'm not sure how better to describe it).I enter the red door to the left, and I get all through to have the keys I need, but I have to make a jump that's just killing me 99% of the time. It's when I've gotten the last key and am heading back. I'm in the room with two platforms moving up/down and a floating head. I wait for the floating head to hit the torch, then jump onto the platforms but I can't make the jump from the top platform to the ledge. I miss just about every time.I've tried from the very edge, tried making a running start, tried waiting for the platform to hit the top, tried just before the top, tried just after... all I do is fall and die. I can start with 6 or 7 lives and waste them all on this one spot.Am I missing something? Is there some trick I'm overlooking? I just can't finish this level and it's very frustrating.
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace
by Semi-Native
Hi Attila,What room are you in? Hit Command D to see the room number at the top left of the screen. Then maybe we can help you.
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace
by rose
Hi Attila and wellcome! It is hard to remember all mansions so if you could supply the room number it'll help. If you use the keys command (apple) and D you will see the room number up inthe left corner.
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace
by Attila
The room in 17495. I die so regularly in it that it's gone beyond funny. Once I get the key in room 17497 then it seems I must go back to 17495 to get out.The other room that I find almost impossible is 17702, on the few occasions when I head right instead of left. That one eats up about 3 lives too, that fourth stone just is always in the lava when I need it. Between these two rooms it seems I need 12 lives, so I just can't complete this level. Argh!
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace
by Semi-Native
Hi Attila,There's no special trick to the jump, it's just good timing. Try the 7 and 9 trick for longer jumps. If you want to go right, hit the 9 key a fraction of a second before you hit the space bar, and you'll jump farther than normal. If you want to go left, use the 7 key instead of 9.In 17702, after you pull the lever to get the platforms moving, keep pulling it again until you get the platforms to stop in spots where Jack can jump from one to another without dying.
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace
by rose
Semi-native! If you use the 7 or 9 key you don't need to use Space bar as well!! I never jump longer using both!
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace

I'll be darned, it works! I thought I had tried that before but obviously I did something wrong. Oops! :-[ :o ;D

Re: Spider Palace

I'm stuck in Spider Palace (Normal) in room 17496. I can't get to the bottom of the room . I keep falling over and over again.

Re: Spider Palace
by Olle the Greatest
do you have a lantern? otherwise it's kinda hard...
------------------------
Re: Spider Palace

You've got to come up the ladder to reach the bottom level of 17496. So you need to find the path to do that.

Three types of mansions
by brell
Midnight mansions can be divided into three categories. First, there are the mansions that come with the game, i.e. the included mansions. These are 24 mansions from Falcon Manor easy to Spider Palace hard - and of course the tutorial mansion. When playing the 24 included mansions you can aim for the highest score and the top ten lists at Actionsoft's website.Second, we have the approved custom mansions. These are mansions built by MM players and tested by other MM players for building flaws like Jack stucks, half Jack stucks, cheap deaths etc. Only after serious testing are these mansions accepted and uploaded to this forum. You can access the (around 115) approved custom mansions here.Third, there are the free uploaded mansions. These mansions can be accessed here and are mainly experimental products and unfinished stuff. Any registered member of this forum can upload these mansions and they can be download here. Note that these mansions have not been tested, at least not to the standards of the approved mansions.

Castle Doom Hard room 16705
by oaktable
Hmmm...I can't seem to get around the zapper beams guarding the green door in room 16705 of Castle Doom Hard. I've got the green key, and I need to get past the door to get the all-important blue key; but the only way I can get past the zappers is when the blocks are in place under the ladder, and of course when those blocks are in pace the blue key is inaccessible. I've tried several times to jump when there is a lull in the two zappers but it never works. I always get fried. Any ideas? Thanks everyone!
------------------------
Re: Castle Doom Hard room 16705

I had hard time doing that too the first time[s]You have to jump at the right time. Try again, and watch the zapper beams closely
