Unable to open door in House of Baron Garneau? by Olle the Greatest
I recently played HoBG Easy and at the end I found myself with a yellow door [at the very end of the mansion] but a purple key, and I couldn't see a yellow key anywhere so that last door was not possible to openAm I missing something?

How many yellow keys did you have at the last saving point? You should have two. If you did, then you missed one more yellow key between that saving point and the end.

Before you go down to the end, look at first for your keys. When you have 2 yellow and 1 purple key, you can enter the last room. Have Fun ;D

Re: Unable to open door in House of Baron Garneau? by Stan-O
I have another problem but also with the door I need a key to (on Easy). I'm stuck with the lower blue door in the room 1503. I've had a blue key which I've used to open the upper door in that room and now I can't find another blue key. I do have two yellows and one purple but the blue key required to enter the red-brick portion of this level is nowhere to be found. Was there just one blue key to begin with (and it should have been used wisely) or am I just unable to locate the second blue key? Any hints if the latter is true? I believe I've explored everything (don't know how to check how many secrets I've found so far tho). What should I do?thanks!

Solved it, didn't notice the way down in the room with many stairs.

Knight Mansion - Hard by Spiak
I finally beat Knight Mansion Hard. But I got 108% secrets. Is that normal?

Another thing for Vern to fix and another feature to Midnight Mansion v1.0.8! ;D

Re: Knight Mansion - Hard by Veronika
I finished this mansion with 78% secrets but I've reached the exit with a spare blue key. After searching the map and making sure there were no blue doors left closed anywhere in the mansion there are two possibilities: is there a secret where you need a blue key and I didn't find it or is it one extra key in the mansion? Thanx for help

Secrets by Spaz
I never seem to be able to find 100% secrets. How can I find how many secrets there are before I start a mansion? :-?
------------------------
Re: Secrets by Olle the Greatest
you can't, unless you cheat. That's one of the charms with MM, you often have to replay the mansions to search for more secrets
------------------------
Re: Secrets by Spaz
Thanks. I guess that is part of the wonders of such a great game!

Re: Secrets by Olle the Greatest
Definitely, after some years of playing and building, I usually don't find all secrets in a new mansion although I keep kneeling and jumping and pulling in every spot of every mansion... which is part of the fun indeed

Nightmare Mansion Easy by Jessica
I'm going through the Easy Included Mansions to get 100% before moving onto the next difficulty level. Is there no way to everything from the beginning? I mean, is it possible to go through both purple doors, and get the goodies before the poles???? Help?

Re: Nightmare Mansion Easy by Semi-Native
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's possible to complete the whole mansion. You have to make a choice. If someone has more information, please chime in. This has been discussed before, but I don't remember the latest information.

Re: Nightmare Mansion Easy by Jessica
I got 100%! Lots of doubling back and checking the map to make sure I didn't miss anything, but I did it.I had 2 purple keys and 1 gold key left over I think. Lots of trial and error to figure out when to double back and when to wait and find more keys first. Went through it about 5 times before I was finally comfortable enough that I knew the layout and where everything was. *dances through the house*

Chateau de Medusa Normal (beginning area) by VernJensen
So I was just playing this a little bit just now, testing the upcoming MM 1.1.9, and I think I've run into a place where you can get stuck? What if, when you first start this mansion, you go to the *left* instead of to the right? I find that you end up clearing as much as you can of the lower area, but then are stuck. I find myself on the right side of room 18093, unable to get the yellow key, and seemingly able to progress without it. Am I missing something, or can you actually get stuck in the first part of this mansion, if you start it "in the wrong order" (i.e. by not going to the right at first)?
------------------------
Re: Chateau de Medusa Normal (beginning area) by Semi-Native
You're right, Vern. I just tried it and did eventually get stuck.
------------------------
Re: Chateau de Medusa Normal (beginning area) by brell
Actually you won't get stuck but you will miss the area behind the yellow door if you take the left wing first.I will leave it to you to find out how to move on i.e. not get stuck.

Missing lantern in Spider Palace normal by Seagull
I have enjoyed learning to play Midnight Mansions in my spare time - but I am frustrated by not being able to find a lantern in Spider palace (normal)! Can I ask for help please?!
------------------------
Re: Missing lantern in Spider Palace normal by Catwoman
Welcome to the forums Seagull. I'll start with a broad hint. You need to find a secret room, that's where the lantern is. It's in one of the first set of rooms on your left.

Problems in the demo pack by kdog
HelloI just came apon this game playeed it on the demo game and got hooked. I been playing it now for a month on and off when im home from work or somethings not on tv and im hooked. I would like to ask a Q about the secrets i be finishing the levels and i only been finding like 10% of them is there a manual and or soemthing to help locate what sa secret could be or a post that does.?Thx

Re: Problems in the demo pack by Catwoman
Welcome to the MM addiction group. First, I'm assuming you've bought the game to be able to play all the way through the mansions since the demos only let you play a portion of the mansion.A secret may be hidden money or a hidden room. Pay attention to the brick tiles. There are hints in the bricks to hint at secrets. The hint bricks tend to have a cracked look.

Bug in Falcon Manor Normal by gdwright
In Falcon Manor Normal when entering room 18897 from the right, and there is no bridge available and the player steps on the stone which closes the gate behind the player there is no way to continue the game, no going forward because there is no bridge, no going back as the gate is closed. I'm a long time player who has registered several times all under old email addresses. Thanks for a great game.

Re: Bug in Falcon Manor Normal by Alan Falcon
Hey gdwright! In the situation you describe, it may be necessary to sacrifice a life by jumping into the pit. You should reappear on the correct side of the closed door and be able to continue to play the game. I agree that this is not really an idea solution though.

Chateau de Medusa Hard by ChelleChelle
I have been struggling for some time now with this mansion. I am lost as to where I am to go or what I am missing to get past the beginning. At the moment all I seem to do is get stuck in the dark rooms after falling from the ladder at the top of the mansion. Any help that I can get will be more than appreciated!
