Jack can't get off the save pedestal

He bumps his head on the bricks and can't get down. Sad
And the room went dark(er)
Posted by: m1ck - 12-04-2011, 10:57 AM - Forum: Dragon's Trap, The / hard - Replies (4)

Is this supposed to happen?

The room dims down abruptly and stays pretty dark compared to the other rooms. It doesn't affect the play at all, but is unnerving if not deliberate.
Signs causing crashes
Posted by: m1ck - 12-04-2011, 10:52 AM - Forum: Jacques' Revenge - Part I - Replies (18)

Signs cause a for-real crash.

The screenshot is just for emphasis. In the beginning of the mansion, every sign causes a crash/application unexpectedly quit. Later in the mansion, the signs don't cause crashes. Go figure. Wink

Also, Leon, some of the signs in your mansions with a lot of text are cut off; they seem to need scrolling and that's not happening.
StarCraft Bug?
Posted by: dlcatftwin - 12-03-2011, 11:39 PM - Forum: StarCraft 1 (Space Towers) - Replies (3)

Hi all,
Hmm... wonder if anyone is still checking these readings out? Guess we will see.
This note is for the author of Starcraft. I would like to play it with the originally intended special Game Data and screens. Following the instructions closely, I insert the specially-made data in place of the original game data. Then....
MM fails to load, citing an issue with Gamescreens.c
I have attached a view of the error message.

I can play StarCraft fine, so long as I do not use any of your specially crafted data inserts.

What's up?
Thanks much,
Midnight Mansion HD for Windows - Public beta
Posted by: VernJensen - 12-02-2011, 11:12 PM - Forum: Midnight Mansion Updates - Replies (8)

Hey all,

I've just posted a public beta of the Windows version of Midnight Mansion HD. If any of you have Windows machines, I'd love for you to fire it up and see if it runs and seems to behave properly:

www.actionsoft.com/files/mmhd/MidnightMansionHDWindowsBeta1.zip

If you do, please post here your results, and what version of Windows you are running (XP, 7, Vista, etc.)

Currently your existing Mac Midnight Mansion HD registration code will unlock the Windows version, so if you're a registered owner, you can test the entire game.

Other things that could use a lot of testing: anything involving the Windows dialog boxes, like opening a custom mansion, saving a game, opening a saved game, entering your registration code, etc.

Currently not supported: opening mansions still in ZIP format. You must expand them and open them as a folder.

The Great Escape easy - the last secret (possible spoilers)
Posted by: brell - 11-28-2011, 06:18 PM - Forum: Included mansions - Replies (16)

As Roger Waters put it:
Banging your head against some mad bugger's wall
. Replace
your
with
Jack's
and
some mad bugger's
with
Toybox's
8-)

I've found 8 secrets and can't find the ninth. I think I have found all the secret rooms. Are there 5 such rooms? How many of the other 4 secrets are not hinted?

 Bedlam 2.0
Posted by: Freddy - 11-28-2011, 12:29 PM - Forum: Bedlam - Replies (3)

The mood is back. Playing Bedlam gave me the inspiration to restart building. But I take it easy. First of all I make some important changes to Bedlam.

The house will stay crazy, but more honest, more balanced and more ... complex. Thus no version 1.whatever, but a version 2.0 !

And meanwhile I will correct a gold/silver HJS somewhere in the house.

The existing saving points will not move or disappear. Referring to Catacombs, I know that this is important, because otherwise you can't load your saved games. But ... to reach some saving points there will be some work to do. And it feels more correct to add at least one or two pedestals earlier in the mansion.

I tried to play the HD version of this mansion, but couldn't start it. Is there someone who can have a look at this issue? Thx.
