Starting HD
Posted by: Freddy - 11-27-2011, 07:34 PM - Forum: Orpheus - Replies (2)

I tried to play the HD version of this mansion, but couldn't start it. Is there someone who can have a look at this issue? Thx.

  Bedlam is 6 !
Posted by: Freddy - 11-27-2011, 07:27 PM - Forum: Bedlam - Replies (7)

[smiley=birthdays.gif]<br />
<br />
Because my Jack is crazy and Christmas is coming, I thought it was a good time to revisit Bedlam. And by reading the posts about Bedlam, I noticed that I designed this house for Christmas 2005!<br />
<br />
I found only 88 % of my secrets ... ;D :o :Smile :-[ And it took me nearly half an hour to figure out how to get the gold coins at the red and blue doors.<br />
<br />
Btw, wasn't there a fridge in this mansion? Undecided Or did I left it in the House of Wonders?<br />
<br />
And I am also concerned about room 16294. In an earlier attempt than the one of which the image comes from, I entered this room in the lower left corner. With a red key. So I opened that door and had the feeling of a Jack-stuck. Is there way out?

  Falcon Manor hard - what a difference!
Posted by: Freddy - 11-27-2011, 02:33 PM - Forum: Included mansions - No Replies

My Jack just arrived at the 2nd saving pedestal, the one where he receives a rainbow key. And it is already clear that this is the original version of Falcon Manor. Good and logic design. Nice building work. Absolutely.<br />
<br />
But later, the easy and normal version, seemed to be done in a hurry and pretty careless. And that is a pity, especially because they are no CMs.

  Falcon Manor normal - room 18297
Posted by: Freddy - 11-27-2011, 01:33 PM - Forum: Included mansions - Replies (3)

>Sad And that is why I don't like the normal version of FM as well. Why on earth is there that small brick, right of Jack, to make it impossible to get back once he used the pole ??? >Sad<br />
<br />
The result is that Jack has to make a choice between a left and a right wing. The latter one giving $ 425 more.<br />
<br />
I know that the idea behind this concept is, to give the players a good reason for an other visit. But I still don't like it. Don't see the fun of it. Sad

Have a good look at the place where my Jack is. Believe it or not, but somehow he jumped, coming from the right, onto the bottom side :o :o :o of the conveyer belt and then suddenly felt down into that small niche where, lucky him Tongue, was a red key.

  The Great Escape easy - A few more things
Posted by: Freddy - 11-26-2011, 02:52 PM - Forum: Included mansions - Replies (7)

I just finished this mansion with finding all secrets, but missing $ 700.<br />
<br />
In room 15505 a moneybag seemed to be out of reach. Is there anyone who can tell me if that is right?<br />
<br />
In room 16105 the left wall looked inviting. But no. So my Jack was forced to commit suicide. :'(<br />
<br />
And room 17103 is my favourite. Pretty original design.

  Falcon Manor easy
Posted by: brell - 11-26-2011, 02:23 PM - Forum: Included mansions - Replies (2)

Is it not possible to get more than $38625 in FM easy? There are quite a few coins left behind some doors at the level below the gold/silver puzzle but no keys. Also, there is a purple door left unopened just before the endgame. One CAN bring down a key or two down to the <blockquote>scorpion</blockquote> level but then we will miss some treasure above, right?

  Three rooms
Posted by: Freddy - 11-25-2011, 03:03 PM - Forum: Art minds mansion - Replies (2)

Congrats with this art house with so beautiful graphics, Veronika. My Jack finished AMM with finding all secrets and gaining $ 23.950.<br />
<br />
In room 1611 Jack arrived with no purple key and couldn't get back to take it. In room 607 Jack had a key, but if he shouldn't, gliding down the pole leads as well to a Jack-stuck. Whenever you find time to do it, fixing these things would be nice for future visitors.<br />
<br />
And in room 206 one needs to offer a life. :'( :'( :'( That is not common, maybe even unseen before. And something I shouldn't design. It just feels too unkind. (Or did I miss something?)

  Yellow door in room 1606
Posted by: Freddy - 11-25-2011, 01:53 PM - Forum: Art minds mansion - No Replies

Visiting my first HD custom mansion. Took me a while to figure out how to reach that yellow door. I attached an image to show that it IS possible. For future visitors who would have doubts.

  A new version of the Mansions Level Builder that works with HD CM's
Posted by: brell - 11-24-2011, 08:27 PM - Forum: MM1 HD talk (Mac and Windows) - Replies (9)

Here is a link to MM1 Mansion Level Builder version 1.2.2, which works with HD custom mansions:<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.actionsoft.com/files/mm/LevelBuilder1.2.2.zip">www.actionsoft.com/files/mm/LevelBuilder1.2.2.zip</a><br />
<br />
<br />
To quote Vern:<br />
<br />
<blockquote>If  you get the latest version of the Level Builder (1.2.2) there is an option to turn off shadows and glows for keys and coins, I think on both a per-mansion basis, and individually.<br />
<br />
It does not run on Lion however, and you must </blockquote>export<blockquote> mansions to the HD format after editing. It adds to the work, but it's still at least possible to edit mansions if you have OS X 10.6 or earlier. See the FAQ (linked elsewhere on the forums) for info on how to export to the HD format.<br />
<br />
Oh and also, it would be good for custom mansion designers to use the new abilities in the 1.2.2 editor to fix problems in their mansions with the HD version. (For instance, some bricks that are used to hide things and cast shadows that shouldn't -- shadows should be disabled in these rooms.)</blockquote>
