Vern, is it possible to let the editor count things like rooms, secrets and gold for you?  And perhaps keys and doors by color?

OK before you volunteer some specifics:<br />
<br />
1. It will be a BIG upload.<br />
2. You MUST know how to move the 3 mansion resource files to a safe place and replace them with the custom files. Screens and music as well.<br />
3. You will need some MM skills, newbies will get frustrated. This is a medium hard to hard mansion.<br />
4. Jack has been totally replaced with JAC (Just Another Cyborg). It takes a little getting used to.<br />
5. I've played the entire mansion about 5 times but we're sure there are dozens of little bugs, there always are.<br />
6. There are 132 rooms and most of what you are used to with MM doesn't apply as far as platforms, ladders, switches, money (replaced with batteries and battery packs), keys (replaced with access cards), doors, etc., etc. are concerned<br />
7. Looking for four testers. We'll send the files to you directly at the end of this week. 2/16/07<br />
8. Looking for JAC stucks, overly difficult rooms, anything that will get the admins upset.<br />
9. There are <blockquote>sins</blockquote> in this mansion although minor. All of them can generally be overcome with either speedy fingers or patience. The fun of Dominator is figuring when to use which.<br />

This sticky will try to make the difference more clear, between custom mansions that are supposed to get listed and all the rest.<br />

The Free Up- &amp; Downloading forum is not the place to use the attachment- or url-facilities for mansions that you want to get listed. This board is meant for experimental stuff with duplicated Jacks, for joke-mansions, for special effects like Jack-on-the-moon or for completely unfinished mansions. In other words: for <blockquote>mansions</blockquote> that are never supposed to get on the List of Completed Mansions.<br />
<br />
But, when you are making a <blockquote>serious</blockquote> mansion, we think that you, as the designer, AND all players, both want to have it right. We also believe that it isn't a good idea to bring this kind of serious to be taken mansions on the boards, before they have been tested thoroughly. That isn't good for the Midnight Mansion game itself and also not for the reputation of the designer(s). Among the forummembers there are a lot of starting easy-skilled players and we are pretty sure that they don't like playing mansions that are not finalized yet. They have enough difficulties with the game itself!<br />

The right way to get your new serious mansion uploaded is easy. Read the sticky <blockquote>How to upload a mansion</blockquote>. For your comfort you can click <a href="https://actionsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=159">HERE</a> to have a direct link to that post. You will see that our only demand is, that your mansion is beta-tested. If you don't know anyone to do that, just start a topic at Custom Mansions Area / Talk and ask for volunteers.

It's great to see the board back, and to read that folks are building more mansions. Can't wait to catch up on all the news. <br />
