MM on MacBreak Tech
Posted by: Alanfalcon - 01-23-2008, 09:12 AM - Forum: General Issues - No Replies

I listen to a lot of podcasts... and I was listening to one of my favorites, MacBreak Tech, where a bunch of Mac using geeks ramble on about Mac Things. Specifically, I was listening to the Resolutions episode and towards the end, John Foster mentioned that the New Year was time for a new game, and he thought Midnight Mansion looked really interesting. Don't think he'd downloaded and actually played it yet, but it was still a thrill to hear it mentioned! Hopefully he does download the game and get hooked. Feel free to go to their website and post, telling John to check it out! 8-)

 Custom Empty Mansion
Posted by: joeb - 01-15-2008, 04:44 PM - Forum: Custom Mansions / Art - Replies (16)

Fellow mansioneers......

Matt and I are going to be putting out an empty mansion with a set of graphics from our mansions. We'd like to know which graphics you all would like to see in the mansion. If you can find a room with the brick or background you like and use Grab to get a small section and post it. If someone has already posted the brick just reference the post. We'll give this a couple of weeks and then release a composite.
Version 1.1.2 got released
Posted by: Freddy - 01-14-2008, 07:28 PM - Forum: Midnight Mansion Updates - No Replies

Message from Vern:

We discovered as soon as the new year hit that there is a minor bug in 1.1.1 where the information for the already-ended Level Design Contest would be displayed when you quit the game. That screen has been removed from the release. Version 1.1.2 also adds an Intel build of Midnight Mansion that avoids slow-motion movement in full-screen. This is not a native Intel version, but it still does run great under Rosetta -- just as well as a native version would, aside from slightly longer loading times.

To download MM 1.1.2, see:
Mike, Mikee, Mikee....

...when are you going to finally finish your section of Catacombs ?? :Smile Undecided

If you don't feel like doing it at the moment, please tell us, so maybe someone else (the next in line) can do the next section!

This way the development of Catacombs will not be delayed eternally.

 "The" in Mansion Names
Posted by: Semi-Native - 01-13-2008, 12:14 PM - Forum: MM1 Talk (Mac only) - Replies (5)

Would it be possible to program mansion names that start with
The
to ignore that word? That way, the mansion name would show up alphabetically under the second, and more appropriate, name.

For example,
The Great Escape
would show up under G instead of T.

Easy, Medium and Hard custom mansions?
Posted by: Matari - 01-11-2008, 02:54 PM - Forum: MM1 Talk (Mac only) - Replies (7)

Hi all

Would anyone else welcome easy, medium and hard versions of custom mansions? I find some of the new ones too hard - in that although they are 'doable', they do tend to be very frustrating and thus detract from my enjoyment. Or is it just me?
