When I try to go to the Sky Boxes download page to add the HD version, it shows me as a guest and asks me to log in or register. When I hit the log in link, it shows me as logged in (as of course I am). Re-logging in doesn't help. Don't have a clue, yet. I do know that it would have allowed me to modify had I saved any changes. I was able to pull up the edit screen for that page. Something else I'm wondering from looking at that page. There's a few lines of info that will not apply to the new HD version. I think we're going to need a slightly different format for the download (different checksums), size, etc. Rob Rob and Semi, do you really think we need to calculate new checksums for the HD cm's? I mean, it takes extra time and adds to the complication since we would need to show the HD cm checksum along with the other checksum. I never asked Freddy why he introduced the checksum in the first place but my guess is that it is a verification tool for the downloader: If the checksum of the downloaded file matches the checksum given at the download post then the downloaded file should be okay. Of course, if the user has problems with the downloaded file he has to redownload regardless of whether the checksum is given or not. Now, to Semi-Native's problem. Somehow Freddy set the cms subforum posts to be unchangeable when anyone, including the admins, enters a post via any link from any other part of the forums. It is easy to understand that he did this so nobody could make any changes to the cms suborum posts, like, for example, to inadvertedly delete the cm files. The behaviour of the forum software to also exclude the admins from being able to enter the cm posts with full admin rights is, of course, very inconvenient but I guess Freddy never found a way to make this behaviour only apply to other users. The way around this is to enter the cms subforum via the category itself instead of using links from the download lists. The disadvantage is, of course, that the names of the post in the subforum are not very enlightening (to say the least) since thay are always the original checksums of the first upload of the cm in question. So how do we do it? 1. Enter the cm post via a download list and note the checksum name of the post. Also note the date of the last upgrade. 2. Enter the cms subforum and find the post with the same checksum name. The date of the last upgrade should help you find that post.

Rob and Semi, have you started uploading any cm yet? If so, which ones(?) so I can see how you handled any extra files.

I was also going to slightly rework the info for the page to present the info better, but if you want to try it without checksums... well, I'm OK with that. We can always go through and add them after the fact. I'll just save the ones I've already generated. 8-)

I'm uploading the mansion zip inside another directory. For example take The Warrior: I create a directory/folder: The_Warrior-HD Inside the folder, I put: - the README.html - The Warrior.zip (converted mansion) - (Any additional files) Then I compress the distribution directory (The_Warrior-HD

Also - many of the forum areas for each mansion have links to their download page. I'm going to add links if there isn't one already. I'll try to anyway.
Update - Ok, so I've updated The Warrior, including adding the shortcut to the download page. Again, I'm working on P-W (Excluding mansions in Cat 3 or 4, or those by Brell, Freddy, Anthony or Semi-Native). I'm also planning on adding info on the download pages for those mansions that fall into category 3 - 4 (again, not those owned by admins). That way players will have warning before trying to convert the mansion on their own.

On second thought... I've decided to drop the version from the name of the uploaded file. Anyone have any objections?

I haven't uploaded any. I tried to upload mine (Sky Boxes) yesterday and I posted about my problem - on going to the download page for it, I was a
guestand I can't figure out what's wrong.

I can upload yours for you, but do you have the same problem in the other download pages, or is it limited to just yours?
