Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy
#11
About my multi-colored key comment: I meant I never managed to make good use of it, what with wanting a fancy puzzle and trying to prevent Jack-Stucks at the same time.

I think the idea behing this is that the player shouldn't waste time and possibly risk some Jacks to try and get something which is not meant to be reached. So once the player is warned, I guess it's OK.

But I totally agree that the previous version of the Hint was not appropriate, and even less so in the Easy level! Sorry about that.

In general principle, yes, I'd like all keys/treasure to be reachable. I've not tried the room in question, but in general, I'd say if there is any other way to do the clue, that'd be preferable than to using a non-reachable key.

I just ran out of ideas! Wink There is a different sort of clue in the same room in, um, Normal I think, based on labelling levers and coins, but it is not so elegant. I could
paint
pictures of keys and so on on the walls, but that would just take too much space (I'd need a full room for it, instead of a few bricks!).

But with extra BBB's, and since it's a multi-coloured key, I don't feel it can be misleading. I'll see if I can think of something else.
