Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - rose - 07-18-2011 Great Escape 16905 easy. No sound when opening grey door when pulling the lever. 16304. The map shows the zapper beams in room 16305 on even though they were turn off. It is OK when in the room 16305 but leaving the room and then look at the map gives the wrong information. 15706 have the right most zapper on all the time. Look at map and it is on but when looking at the map when in room 15705 or other rooms it is off! I generally find MMHD to dark. I have always had to turn up the screen light to maximum but with the new feature in MMHD the screen is too dark in the darker places which makes it sometimes hard to see the specifics in those part early enough. When you get older you need more light to see well! In the Great escape it seems very dark! It is straining the eyes. Could it be that the bricks used are the darker values and colours, red and blue i.e., and not light grey or gold? 15505 Is the money bag to the right for show? I couldn't find a way to reach it. 15705 why a blue brick opening the grey door when it is closed again when coming back into the room? There is a lever that will open the door. 16309 when jumping on to the vine Jack has to jumpseveral times before he can climb up the vine. Sounds like something for Vern :-? 65786472170 wrote: Could be an issue with the starting delayoption in the zappers. I am pretty careless with those; I didn't realise that could be a problem with the map. If that is the problem at all. 65786472170 wrote: That might be the same issue. This zapper has starting delay = 10. Maybe Vern can find a magic fix to take care of all zapper / map weirdness. Or maybe I'll have to go through all zappers one by one :o ![]() 65786472170 wrote: Could be. Speaking of it, I also find the blue and purple keys harder to distinguish than in normal MM. 65786472170 wrote: There is one, in that very room [smiley=evil.gif] 65786472170 wrote: Oops :-[ That was for designer's convenience; I just forgot to remove it afterwards, despite using a flashy colour just for that purpose! 65786472170 wrote: Fixed. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - Semi-Native - 07-18-2011 Okay, I give up. How do you get the money and multicolored key in 15307? Or are they simply there as a clue for which levers to pull in the room to the left? Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - Toybox - 07-18-2011 Yes, these are just a clue for the following room. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - VernJensen - 07-25-2011 Do you mean that there is a money bag and key visible that the player is never able to pick up? If so, I'd recommend changing the clue. For built-in mansions, I'd say any treasure / keys in a mansion should always be accessible. I will look into a way to have the map screen display zapper beams as on even if the starting delay is non-zero. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - Toybox - 07-26-2011 I quite like that clue in principle. But of course it shouldn't confuse the players! How about that: I could add a BBB saying something along the lines of, I don't think I can reach those treasures. Why would someone go to the trouble displaying them over there, I wonder?. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - rose - 07-26-2011 That would be a solution. I had the same reaction as Semi-Native, and I don't like when money and keys aren't reachable. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - Semi-Native - 07-26-2011 Toybox, how about just getting rid of the key and money bag, keep the colored clues, and the 2 critters, and maybe add a sign saying something about colors. I don't think Vern wants any treasures to be out of reach in included mansions. Re: Beta 4 - The Great Escape Easy - Toybox - 07-26-2011 Well, if it is clear that they are just decorative (because of a BBB, and not just because the designer told you!), I would think it doesn't matter anymore that they cannot be reached. Of course Vern still has the last say on the matter. Also, leaving the critters on their own wouldn't quite make sense. And it's a multi-colored key, which is impossible to use anyway ![]() Just now I'll put the BBB as I said, partly because of no time to think of another solution truth be told :-[ |
