For those of you having trouble with the game running slowly when fullscreen: try going to windowed mode, and dragging the lower-right corner of the window to resize it. Make it as large as possible. Does it run slowly this way too? If so, try to find at what point it goes slow versus normal speed. (i.e. resize it in small increments to find the
breaking point
) Take a screenshot of the
runs fine at this size
and also at the
too slow
size.

Not yet Semi-Native, but I'll be getting to that soon.

That's weird, I'm starting to get slowdowns as well

I'm getting as low as 19fps

My screen resolution is 1280 x 800

Early on when I was playing with windowing, I increased the size as far as I could (without going full screen), and it seemed fine. I'll check it again this evening. I'll also get the other info you're asking for at that time.

What is your display's maximum resolution?
My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080

Very strange! That's not big enough that it should be causing any problems. I'm baffled.

Leon, if you resize your window to max size, does that run any slower?

You mentioned you're
now
getting slower frame rates. So that sounds like you were able to play at a faster speed before? Can you duplicate this? Are some mansions/rooms faster/slower than others? Does it slow down over time? Does it happen if you start up windowed first, and switch to fullscreen? Fullscreen first?

When it's going slow, and you switch back to windowed mode, it instantly goes full speed again?

One more thing: for those of you having trouble with low framerates when fullscreen, can you try entering the cheat code
no fps
and see what happens? Is it still slow?

Switch back to windowed mode. How fast does it go now with no fps?

That's strange, it's not doing it anymore

I'll try out a few things to try and get it to slow down again

Semi-Native, are you by any chance running on a Mac with a PPC processor??

Leon -- something you might pay attention to, when testing slowdowns, is whether you have any other games/programs running in the background that might also be using VRAM, and also whether you have a lot of Finder windows open or not. Not sure if this'd make a difference, but it might.

You might also try using the in-game map a lot. Try using the cheat code
reveal map
then scrolling around in it a lot. See if that affects anything.

I can't duplicate this at all on my end, so it's up to you guys to discover something. Undecided
