Here is the link to beta 1:

Currently this is
This is the version exactly as a Mac App Store customer would receive it upon purchasing, except that
There are a few things I need to tidy up still, but for the most part consider this finished.
The main things:
- In Hint House, you'll see a floating question mark where each tip is. Right now, tips are invisible.
- Tomb of Princes Easy is missing. I have to finish this. For now, don't try to play it.
Other than that, please try anything and everything you can to break the game. Do note that this is not about testing *mansions* as much as it is about testing the *game engine*. This is an entirely new engine, Universal Binary, Open-GL accelerated, and there can be lots of problems. I've fixed a lot already, but there could be more that I don't know about.
For instance, Command-F toggles fullscreen/windowed. Try toggling this at random times, like when you're reading a sign, or on the map screen, etc. Try pausing on the map screen (this is currently a bug actually). That sort of thing. This isn't about testing mansions so much, but more trying to break the game engine. But, do report mansion problems if you run across any. Rob has already done an excellent job upgrading them.
If you complete any mansions, please send me your movie files. (They are in Home/Library/Application Support/ActionSoft/Midnight Mansion/User Movies/) I will use these to take realistic screenshots of the game. ZIP the movie files before sending them or it won't work.
Please use email to contact me, not PM, if you need to contact me off the forums for some reason:

Post all comments here in this thread for now. Any and all feedback is welcome! General first impressions are always fun to hear. :-) I think you guys will really like the improvements.

Currently this is
Episode 1only. I will upload Episode 2 once Episode 1 has been tested a little bit. Episode 1 will sell on the Mac App Store for $4.99, while Episode 2 will likely sell for around $7.99 to $9.99. When you have both episodes, you'll have the
complete game. I split it up to make the barrier to purchase a bit lower ($4.99 versus $20). Once you purchase both episodes, both copies will be upgraded to run all the mansions, so it'll be just as convenient as before.
This is the version exactly as a Mac App Store customer would receive it upon purchasing, except that
Game Datawill be inside the app.
