But I may change the game's engine to make bat platforms re-appear after a delay, if they leave without you. Since this room seems to be confusing so many people.

I think this is a great idea... it would fix what is  probably a very common issue with mansions now that platforms can move between rooms. It's one less problem that mansion designers have to address (or ignore).

mapman -- are you sure? Room 15905 has a lever that opens the trap doors the purple key is sitting on. This drops the key down to the lower level, where Jack can pick it up, *without* having opened the purple door. So it seems he should be able to get it either way. Too tricky for Easy is the question, perhaps?
You are quite right of course. I must have been tired when I was testing this mansion and I missed something that should have been obvious. Sorry :-[.

Re. Vern's reply #8. A problem is that the small bat platform performs in exactly the same way - if you jump off on the island as the bat platform moves right, Jack is stranded without a 'ride'. However, if the game is suspended and reopened, the small bat platform is now available.

Easy

Encountered some of the same issues already reported with the Bat platform that can strand Jack. I agreed that the difficulty in 15705 was questionable for Easy. I also questioned 15502, though that one isn't too bad. Perhaps one or two of the middle platforms might have been solid (instead of falling). Overall, the difficulty was OK.

True enough... I've been bumping into that quite a bit.
It's not really that big a deal, I guess, but consistency one way or the other would be nice.

I agree, but I think the best we can hope for is consistency within a single mansion. Consistency across the whole game might be difficult to achieve if the designers of the mansions use different versions of English.

I've checked all the BBBs in Dr. Demented's Den Easy and, as far as I can see,
travellers
is the only use of non-American English so it probably should be changed.

Hard

Not much to add here. Was a lot like Normal with a few standout rooms. Could be a bit harder I think. A few minor changes here and there could make a big difference.

I really liked the goblin puzzles and the rooms that were noticeably different and harder. It just left me wishing for a few more is all Smile.  I couldn't find any real problems, though.

I agree with Rob - not a lot of difference between Normal and Hard versions. I think that even a few scorpions running around in the long corridors would have upped the difficulty level. Fun mansion - the goblins are great.

Don't worry, this will all be fixed in beta 4. Got a built-in game-wide solution for both of these issues!
