Overall I think this is another excellent mansion from Anthony.
It's quite challenging. On my first run through I missed a few secrets, although one secret area that I did find had the backpack in it.
On the subject of backpacks it might be a good idea to have one available earlier in the mansion. There are so many shields dotted about that I had to use them to kill spiders etc. several times so that I had room to pick up keys.
