Right, I haven't done anything about music volume yet.

No worries, you CAN use the lever jump as long as you are *still* on solid ground immediately after having pulled the lever. The only thing this affects is when the lever is on a gold/silver block, and the gold/silver block you are standing on disappears once you've pulled the lever. In that case, Jack can't jump right after pulling the lever, in built-in mansions. He was never supposed to be able to do this.

I worked all day yesterday ripping out old sound code plugging in a new sound system, so the mikmod thing wouldn't be required anymore, and the popping issue would be fixed... only to discover that the new sound system has issues of its own... all sound effects play 0.2 seconds after they are supposed to. Aaaargh! I'm going to be looking into using *another* sound ssystem. But the fixed beta will be delayed until that can get done. If you don't have beta 5 working, please just wait for a new version... even if it means waiting a few days. I don't want any of you to get frustrated!

Only gold/silver blocks are affected. As long as Jack has solid ground under him *after* he's done pulling the lever, he can still do the lever jump, even in built-in mansions. Only if ground has disappeared while pulling the lever will he be unable to jump.

At least, not easily. I was able to get it back using exposé. Rob, are you sure this is related to the Options dialog? There is a known bug where if you minimize the game, and click on the Midnight Mansion app icon in the dock to bring it back, nothing will happen. You have to instead click on the icon of the minimized game window (far-right of the dock) to bring it back. Does this not work for you in some situation? Otherwise, it's a known issue.

By the time the animation was finished, the platform would be gone, but Jack could still get in one last jump - from the lever. Hmm, okay I guess you are right -- these two scenarios would be affected a well. Not just gold/silver blocks. Why? Because the game does NOT teach players how to do this, so no one should ever be expected to do it. No built-in mansions should ever require it, or have an advantage to doing it. Therefore, it should not be allowed.

There are several cases in MM2 where moving platforms (resting on the ground) have a lever above them to start the platform - this is done because the platforms can leave the room. Have you checked to be sure that this change doesn't affect that? It shouldn't, but it's worth checking. Should be totally unaffected.

I just tried to open a CM save and got this message: The mansion file 'Midnight mazes and monsters' could not be found. Please make sure this mansion is inside the custom mansions folder and try again. I get the same error message if I change the name of the folder back to Custom Mansions. So, it seems that I am unable to open custom mansion saves. Am I the only one having this problem?
