Now I'm stuck
Posted by: dlcatftwin - 06-01-2007, 01:22 AM - Forum: Midnight Mazes and Monsters - Replies (12)

Greetings all,
I need some help in this enormous palace!
I am in room #15515 (in the Spider Maze). I see the
floating
floor on the right with no apparent way to get there.
right above this frame is room #15315- the two barricades are still closed, and I fear that they need to be open in order for Jack to leave this area.
Please advise!
Thank you,
DLC :-[

In 15515, I see the floor (on the right side of the room) bu no visible way to get there, nor can Jack jump up over the lip of the gutter at the ladder's bottom.
In 15315, I can get to the bottom of the left ladder (left of the first closed door and its lever to the right), but of course this is not useful as I have to somehow get to the right of BOTH closed doors.
Help needed, give me a pointer, please!
Thanks,
Dear friends,

I'll be on a short trip for 8 days, so I won't be present at the boards (and on the mailing list) during that time. I'll be back on Friday June 8.

Greetings,
Linear vs Non-Linear
Posted by: joeb - 05-29-2007, 02:42 PM - Forum: MM1 Talk (Mac only) - Replies (2)

With the design contest consuming a lot of folks time it seems that one of the issues that continues to pop up is the linear vs non-linear design of mansions. I think I have come up with a nifty idea which I used extensively in Ghosthunter (posted EXCLUSIVELY thru the contest). I am hoping to hear from others if they feel that GH fits into the non-linear mode of design. Especially from Vern, psychotronic and DaFalcon. If it does then I'm going to post a thread here which might help others to get out of the linear mode using a fairly simple idea. I don't want to speak about it now, not because I don't want anyone to use it, but because I'd rather wait and see if it achieves non-linearity.
(HINT, HINT, enter the contest!!!!)
A Curious Observatory questions
Posted by: rose - 05-27-2007, 03:14 PM - Forum: Curious Observatory, A - Replies (7)

Hi!
I am trying to play A Curious Observatory from the beginning. Never quite finished it when I played it before.
My questions are
#1 where do I get the red key for the room 30901
#2 where is a third green key in this top part of the mansion? If Jack uses the 2 he has in room 29903 he can't pass a green door in room 30704
Or is Jack supposed to come back later?
How does it end?
Posted by: dlcatftwin - 05-19-2007, 10:18 PM - Forum: Church - Replies (5)

Hi gang,
Just enjoyed playing
Church
and finally got to the end, room 17882.
Uhm, what is Jack suposed to do to end the mansion? the up arrow provides nothhing, and he can't jump on the translucent steps when they appear.
Oh, one suggestion, another
save
or two in the game would have been oh so helpful, though I get the hidden message:
there's no saves in Hell!
 Big Grin

Thanks for the help in advance!
Best regards,
Forum silent !?!
Posted by: aquaMat - 05-16-2007, 08:54 AM - Forum: MM1 Talk (Mac only) - Replies (9)

I can't help feeling it's the
fault
of the contest in general and the mailing list in particular that the boards are so silent at the moment.

For a while it seemed as if all
talking activity
was relocated to the mailing list.... but what's funny: now the mailing list is pretty silent too !!

Is everybody so entangled in building their contest mansions or playing around with the new XP features ? :Smile :o Undecided
