You may think 10 years old is a tad young for an intrepid treasure hunter like Jack Malone, but it's true, his 10th Birthday is coming up... or at least his 10th Birthday of raiding beautiful mansions and other territories just to grab his mitts on some fancy treasure. <br />
<br />
Over the past ten years, Jack has been stuck plenty of times in various mansions over two and a half games. But that not all, the community has been the source of many amazing mansion not included in the original packages.<br />
<br />
I still remember when I first discovered Midnight Mansion 8 years ago, I was browsing the late downloads site on the Apple website and when I found MM, I was instantly in love, especially the mansion builder. I remember begging my dad to purchase the licence... back in the day when it was easier to convince my parents to buy me a game lol... and I would spend ages attempting to create mansions with my dad's old powerbook G4 and its broken hinge (I had to lie on my bedroom floor and place the lid by the wall to stop it falling)... unfortunately only a couple of these mansions saw release on the forums. It's amazing, I started playing the game when I first started High School and I am still playing it and about to finish college!<br />
<br />
So come February 4th 2015 (?), Happy 10th Birthday to Midnight Mansion, thank you to Vern and team for creating the game, thank you to the staff members for maintaining the forum, and thank you player for creating the wonderful mansions.<br />

This is a JS for sure. After Jack jumped to the left in the room above, (a secret area) he went spiralling down that long pole only to find himself without any blue keys. That secret area should not be open if Jack has no blue keys.<br />

Jack went down there with the little green descending block and now he can't get out.<br />

My old computer (mid-2011 iMac) was the last one that would boot from a peripheral install of OS 10.6.8. <br />

Firmware on anything newer won't have anything to do with an OS older that the computer itself.<br />
<br />

If I'd realized that, I'd have hung onto the older iMac to use just for MM2. I really liked that game.<br />
<br />
Now I'm having trouble getting an updated registration code for MM HD, but that's another matter.<br />
<br />
So.. goodbye Haunted Hills; you gave good game.

Don't know if anyone remembers, but the apple website used to have a special downloads website which had downloads for various pieces of software, including many games. I loved this site to pieces and found many good games there (including Midnight Mansion).<br />

However, unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore (or at least it is well hidden). There were two games which I am trying to look for again but completely forgotten the name of them.<br />
<br />
One of them had a very awesome techno soundtrack and you would have to spin the entire maze stage to get the ball to the finish, but if you touched a wall, you would die. I used to play the free trial all the time on my mom's old iMac running an early version of OS X... but we sold it a couple years ago <br />

The other game I can't remember that well, but you played as a red bullish person and you had to transverse this flat 3D world sort of thing...<br />

Welcome to The Chamber of Secrets! A misnomer, really, as there are many chambers and many secrets. Either way, you may want to keep your eyes open and watch your step. Curiosity killed the cat. So did impulsiveness.<br />
