Hi, I need help for 2 things in level builder. A ladder and the wall that Jack can go through. When I make a ladder, Jack can't climb it. How do I make a ladder that Jack can climb it? How do I make a wall that looks solid that Jack can go through to the secret room?
| Insectoid near release |

Well, at the moment, I'm working on the last of two items to get Insectoid ready for Gold Master -- which refers to everything in the software being finished. Gold Master releases are then released to testers, and if no big problems are found, they are then released to the public. I intend to release GM releases to testers today (and may even make it a more public GM release, posting a link here later), and if all goes well, perhaps the game will be released this Monday.

This is of course good news for MM fans, because I will be able to work on the MM Expansion Pack, probably starting a week or two after Insectoid has been released.

I must be doing something wrong because whenever I go down the ladder after the purple door onto the
elevator
I get killed. Once killed no matter which key I touch, Jack gets killed again. A hint please.....I have done blue door, yellow door (twice) down to the bottom and up to purple door.

| Nearing completion: BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET |

To keep you updated:

My latest one, BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET, is now - slowly - nearing completion. (Of the basic building process, that is.)

It's gotten quite big..... at the moment about 130 rooms, or so.

Also - as I had mentioned elsewhere on these pages, due to the
improvisational design process
the story has considerably moved away from the initial
Jack is in space / emergency-lands on strange planet
- scenario, even if the beginning with the ejection seat still stands.
Somehow the layout of many later rooms didn't really turn out very
extra-terrestrional
at all.... :-[ ahem.. :'(

So I thought I could do either of 2 things:
1. Trash the opening sequence and rename the whole mansion..... or:
2. Leave the opening sequence in, and treat the mansion name quite literarilly: Jack IS the brother from ANOTHER planet, which doesn't have to mean he has to emergency-land on a
strange
planet.
It could very well be our own blue one....only he's not sure where exactly he is. And we - as players - aren't that sure either, 'cause there are enough unusual,
strange
looking rooms in the first half.

I tend to go with solution number 2.

Any opinions ??

Hi!

I just finished La Luna and I found it quite entertaining! Normal diff with a couple of harder areas is exactly my kind of mansion. Also: The fact that there are plenty of secrets to discover (I found them all [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]) makes the mansion lots of fun! Didn't encounter any JSs or CDs either!

So: Thanks, Veronica!
