Version 1.1 is downloadable.
The issues in 16704 and 16705 are fixed.
I have no solution for the problem with the colour codes. For the function they have, they need to be tiny. On the other hand, the doors and keys are coloured as well. So I await if there are complaints.

Brave new world is a big and IMO a very good mansion, which is a fun to play. It is mainly in the
normal
zone with a few harder places.

But it seems to me that, in general, easy, normal and mansions are mainly defined by critters, like, how many there are to avoid, how to avoid them and how easy/hard it is to avoid them. IMO there are other things to consider when defining the difficulty of a mansion, like, how secrets are hinted and how puzzles are designed. BNW is, IMO, a mansion that has a good balance of this.

Just a few remarks:

1. The officially uploaded version has an improved blue zone. It really does not matter where the player uses the rainbow key first and whether gold or silver blocks are on when that key is used.

2. Room 16705: It is not clear IMO that the player must go all the way down the longest ladder to be able to survive in this room.

3. Room 16704: Jack arrives in the room from the middle right and triggers a platform. My stupid Jack left the room to the left without using that platform first, came back but now the platform was disactivated.

4. The color code puzzle is good but some people may still be having a problem here due to mild color blindness.

5. Room 18102: I cannot find any hint for the secret here

6. Grey zone improved

7. Green zone: The player can now access all the green rooms regardless of how he uses his green keys. A big improvement IMO

8. The yellow key puzzle in the last zone is brilliant. And, as so many times in this mansion, the hint to the solution is subtle indeed. I cannot find any hint for a secret in 16295

Hope that I haven't revealed too much.

In the past my only building efforts in MM2 were the creating of the first part of our community mansion Hanging Gardens of Babylon. To restart activities in MM2 I first needed to solve both hard- and software problems. It took many months.

But then started the fun. Bit by bit ideas became parts of rooms, rooms got linked, a first area created. Then my friend brell came into view. Just like more than 20 years ago he was so kind to offer time and energy to betatest what I was building. That process happened public. It could be followed in the Free Chat board of this forums. There was no hurry. I took my time to get things like I wanted them to be. It took us months.

The result is the ca 140-room mansion Brave New World. It should have a normal level of difficulty, with some harder or quizzical spots that are announced with signs. For the player’s comfort there are saving pedestals on regular base and, like in the MM1-mansion Midnight Mazes and Monsters, check points to find out if you found all money and secrets so far.

Enclosed you find images of the first two rooms. When you have a closer look at the first room, you will notice that Jack receives a starting fee with a silver coin and that there is a key shown. In the second room seven scorpions are speeding to the gap to avoid that Jack gets the purple key. A problem that he can’t solve right away with offering some lives because he has less lives than there are scorpions.

In my opinion BNW is a mansion where Jack nearly always will be very busy. I hope you will enjoy it.

Room 16297
The ladderjump is not very obvious, which can lead to a cd.

PS have you changed the transition zone? Because now the silver bricks are on but not the gold bricks. Or am I doing something wrong?
