Resetting sprite IDs

Either I'm not doing it right, or its a bug... (I think im not doing it right)

There's an ID in a room in my mansion. The room I.D. (for the position of where it is in the mansion) is 16506. (Is the number differant in each mansion?) Anyways. I tried to open a door set that has the ID of 33304. But when I set the lever to open that door with that ID and it reset when I clicked the lever again to see the ID I set it to! I tried using the
shift sprite I.D
but I couldn't use it right. If other people can't use it, then I think its broken. Or, I don't know how to use it! Please tell me how someone! Sad

Shift Sprite IDs...
from the menu has nothing to do with the IDs you use in levers. Shift SpriteIDs really has not useful purpose... it's more something I used way back in the day when first developing the game, and I'd add sprites, and the level format would changed, and I'd have to update old levels to the new format. But I wouldn't use that option... it doesn't really have any useful purpose nowadays. Most likely the same for Shift TileIDs.
