Green door just following purple door after first save

I have been trying forever to find the key for the green door just following the purple door after the first save. Can somebody help me?

Can you give the room number? Hit Command + D and the room number will be on the top left of your screen.

I looked in the level builder, and all I can guess is that somehow you missed picking up a green key before you started climbing on the vines. Offhand, I can't recall where you would have found this key. Sorry. If I get time, I'll play it and see if I can help out.

Okay, you missed it in Room 15707, in the main building. It's the room with all the blue sinking tiles where you picked up another key. So I think you'll have to start over to get it, since you made that jump onto the vines. It's worth the effort, this is a really fun mansion.

Since my last post, I played again. I had always found a green key in room 16106. When I got to room 15909 where the first green door is, I found a way to bypass the door and not use the key. So when I left the main building I had the green key that I didn't use. I am now at save 2. I started a new game and found the key in room 15707. Thanks for all your help. Yes it is a fun mansion!
