Small Palace Of Gore
#1
Dear members:

To wet your appetite, I'd like to announce that the beta-testing of my Small Palace Of Gore is almost finished. Big Grin Smile Big Grin

Freddy did a wonderful, thorough job (thanks again) and we're looking forward to release it very soon.
(Mansion Details follow later).

The bigger Palace Of Gore will be released 1 or 2 weeks after SPoG, and currently I'm putting the finishing touches to my forthcoming
Discotheque Of Doom
(which will include a few custom graphics and custom music).

Stay tuned.

I only found 2 or 3 bugs in this mansion while I was beta-testing!  :o Hopefully I'll find more in future beta-testing. And umm... yeah.  Wink And I've got to admit, you are crazy at making mansions! You'll porobably make more before I even finish StarCraft Mansion! ;D Big Grin Wink

By the way... do you have a screenshot or two to share with your custom graphics for your newer mansions? (Newer then SPOG & POG) :-?

Hi Wingy.... you probably mean screenshots from the Discotheque.... I haven't done any screenshots from the Discotheque yet, except those two I posted in the resp. thread a couple of weeks ago, but those didn't show any custom graphics yet.

You gotta know, in the Discotheque there will be only a few selected custom graphics... it won't be like Mummy's or TOTOMBS or your new one... simply for 2 reasons:

1. I started it using standard tiles and trying to make it look a bit unique even with those standard tiles (and had finished already 3/4 of it before I touched Rezilla for the first time)....  then I started to bring a few custom graphics in.
2. I might be quite skilled in the manipulation of photos and I like doing designs etc. - but I'm definitely NOT a good drawer or painter, so my abilities of really 'painting' new elements (like the grass in TOTOMBS for example) are rather limited.

Having said that, you can imagine that I use custom graphics in DoD only as added eye candy, and have not created an entirely new world.
Therefore I think it'll be better if I don't spoil the surprise effect, by posting screenshots now..... **

But, incidentally, this way of designing DoD, fits perfectly to its
storyline
,  (
Jack has heard, that somewhere far away, a rich lunatic has built a discotheque inside of a hill.... but the path to it, is long and hard and only few....
etc. blah blah). So it starts pretty normal (design-wise) and gets more and more 'unusual', the deeper Jack enters.....

**BUT: One thing I can tell you already: Jack will be wearing his fancy night-life outfit, when he goes looking for the Discotheque Of Doom. But I wonder if that helps.... as only very few dancers have ever returned from there.... Smile

You mean you changed all 125 pictures of Jack's movements to add a Night-life suit??? To make Jack have a force feild for me I just used PhotoShop with a click or two with a glow!  :o

Yeah, I did..... but as I didn't really add something (as you will see)...just changed it a bit, it wasn't that hard. Wink

Can that force-field of yours be
activated
.... or is it always there ??

The Small Palace of Gore is downloadable now!! It is also the first mansion of which you will find some extra information about difficulty etc. at the download-page itself.

Even more information you will surely get from aquaMat, here at THIS topic on the boards, which is NOT about the Discotheque. Wink

Right, Freddy..... Wingy has put me off-topic here Smile

Further talk about the
Discotheque Of Doom
should be relocated to the thread of the same name....
....but I'll be happy to discuss questions about SPoG here !!

Meanwhile I wish y'all fun while exploring the Palace, and my first and foremost advice is: Keep Your Eyes Open !

It's always there. Smile You can't expect it to go offline near the end, then Jack will die! :'( For good! :'( :'( :'( We don't want that to happen, do we? Wink

Anyways... Is it possible to change keys and sheilds in your inventory? Thats a question that I really want to be answered. I suppose Vern would know... Wink
