I just tried to open the Hard version of this game and I get the pop up in the below pic. I have not tried this mansion yet, let alone made any changes to it. Does anyone else have this problem opening the Hard version?

I tend to modify the copies located in the Original Mansion folder. Then the game sees it as cheating :-[ Probably Vern forgot to declare it Official and Untampered With.
Does this message appear with the Normal and Easy ones?

16505 - Normal
I have tried everything to get to the ladder that leads to the bottom level, but Jack is stuck & can't continue with the game. Both levers in this room move the same brick, but the brick does NOT go down. It just stays up in the air. Even if Jack tries room 16707, he cannot continue because the bat brick has to be freed by the lever on the top left, which he can't get to because the lower left grey door is blocking him. This whole area is very weird. Pls check it out. Maybe it's just me, or there really is a problem in room 16505 area, preventing Jack from going down. NOTE: Okay, I finally figured out the problem. My Jack entered room 16505 1st via the ladder on the left & pulled the lever which made the brick come out above his head. But he still could not get down, so he had to go up & out to re-enter this same room using the bat bricks on the right. The brick that was pulled out of it's place, was back in it's place when Jack re-entered this room via the bat bricks. So he pulled the other lever in the middle of the room which sent the brick back out to where it went with the 1st lever. hmmmm. THIS SECTION IS SO NOT RIGHT. THE BRICK SHOULD HAVE STAYED OUT WITH THE 1ST LEVER, THEN LOWERED WITH THE 2ND LEVER AND STAYED THAT WAY, SO THAT THE PLAYER KNOWS TO RE-ENTER THIS ROOM FOR THE 3RD TIME. Anyway, Jack finally, on the 3rd re-entry of this room, pulls the lever near the ladder, this time it allows Jack to pull it for the 2nd time and the brick comes back out over his head, as before, only this time it finally goes down as well. Either I am having a glitch in my game, or this is a very confusing play. Pls check it out.

I am working on the Normal version which opened OK. It is only with the Hard version I get this pop up. Mapman just PM'd me that he can open all version with no problem. Maybe I just have to re-download MM2 again to see if the problem corrects itself. Thank you for caring.

Missy, if that doesn't work, just move it into the Custom Mansions folder and open it with
Open Mansion.

Then make your way around to come down the ladder and pull the lever on the left. That makes the gray tile move down to where Jack can jump on it and then down. Is that what you did, and it's not working?

NOT A GOOD PLAY AT ALL!!! Thank you again. I am in HARD version right now, and this time I pulled the lever in the middle of the room 1st, then left the room and the brick is still going up and down like it should when Jack re-enters the room. This is not what happens in the Normal version. The brick goes back into place when Jack leaves & re-enters the room. The normal version should be looked at by the designer.
