Tutorial Mansion:
The tutorial mansion is really well done with lots of clear explanations and examples! 16099 - In BBB, it's not really a question, how about: Hmmm, does this platform go into the next room?Jack wonders. ...on second thought: I've noticed that Jack's internal thoughtshave mostly vanished from the various messages in the tutorial, which I think works better anyway. In keeping with that, you might consider leaving it as: It looks like this platform might go into the next room. Pull the lever to find out! That's a bit more consistent with the other messages in the tutorial. Also: re-appeardoesn't need the dash. It should be reappear. re-enteris fine with or without the dash. 16103 - without thinking I got impatient for the for the platform and attempted a bottom ladder jump(with a half twist) and died. Whoops! Well, the fix is definitely in. 16306 - BBB edit: alikeisn't really necessary, and doesn't really add anything, either. Consider dropping it. 16291 - Moving platform flickers while Jack pulls the lever. (also posted in General Discussion) 16097 - BBB edit, how about: ...However if the conveyor belt moves the opposite direction Jack is going... 16098 - BBB edit, how about: You're now ready to learn the new features in Midnight Mansion 2: The Haunted Hills.

Tutorial Mansion:
The initial scene, with the organ player - instruct the player to hit ESC when ready to begin. Beginning room - The instructions on the wall say Walk up to the signbut it doesn't say how. There may be some people who don't know about using the arrow keys to move. 15890 On BBB, change the wording from ... may run across acid or lava...It makes it sound like Jack can actually run across it instead of having to jump over it. I'm thinking of people whose native language isn't English and aren't used to those kinds of expressions. 16290 BBB should maybe read push the down arrow to duckinstead of just push down 16103 Maybe add a BBB asking if the player found the secret in that room? 15907 BBB should also mention the sparkles when entering the room, not just the sound. 15704 BBB should say press the up arrowand maybe mention that there's another secret to be found in that room.

I wonder if you should also add a message immediately following the lantern that mentions there might be multiple lanterns in a mansion, each lighting up a different area.
This was a new wrinkle that I didn't realize until I encountered it in a few of the mansions. I'd just assumed it worked like the first game.

I agree with Rob. As I just posted in the General Discussion thread, I didn't realize that the sequel was different in terms of how the lanterns function. That will probably catch a few people off guard, so might be worth a mention in the tutorial.
