Full Screen resolution
#1
Could you PLEASE help and enable fullscreen resolution for me.
I have 2 imac's 2006 & 2007 models (intel). and can not enable it on either one.
Yes I have held down option and chose 1680x1050 [S] every time but it reverts to full screen with a very small screen in the centre (possibly 640x480).
The game can not be played in this way and my children are desparate to play it and if they like it I will buy it.
But I'm afraid that simply purchasing an serial number will not resolve the display fault.

Hello, and welcome MacFanBoy

Are you playing the Intel version of the game? There are 2 versions, one for Intel and one for PPC Macs.

Yes I am playing the intel version.

Hmm, since I have a PPC and never have had a problem like this, I'm afraid that was my only idea.

Hopefully someone else will come along and be able to help.
Good luck.

But as the resolution becomes bigger the playing screen becomes smaller, right? Try smaller resolution and the playing screen should grow.

Exactly.
But why offer higher resolutions but not support them?

Hi!
I always play MM in a small window. I can't get used to a window all over my 20" monitor. Smile

I'm not sure if this will work (just a little idea I came up with) But you could try re-installing it then retrieve all you lost files from your last MM File, remeber it might not work.

MacFanBoy,

You're misunderstanding the resolution pop-up list. You want to select 640x480, or the size closest to that, from the pop-up menu if you choose your own resolution.

Midnight Mansion is 640x480, and by changing your *monitor* to the same resolution, it will take up the entire display when it runs.

If you set it to 1680x1050, your display will remain in that resolution, and Midnight Mansion's tiny 640x480 resolution will take up a rather small portion of that.

Sorry I haven't been on these forums for a while... hope this message is helpful to someone.
