Layers?

I make my own littles mansions for many mounths, And it's just today i discover layers :-X !!! I know with them i can hide Jack or other things, or make ladders. But is the someone who can explain me better how do they work ?

Welcome on the boards, Gaelmac. Have you read the level builder manuals that came with the game in the Level Builder Docs folder? The layers are explained there. In short you use the following layers:

0 for background
4 is the main building layer
5 is mainly used for ladders
6 is for foreground (in front of Jack).
