Room 8903
#1
I can't figure out how anyone has been able to finish this mansion since there doesn't seem to be any way out of this room.... When you arrive at the bottom, both doors are blocked. Brell identified this problem and I got the impression that it was fixed, but I downloaded the latest version and I'm still stuck there....  :-[

I don't know about this room.

But I can't seem to get beyond room # 9101 !!!

I can't see how anyone can get past the zapper beams (on the middle floor) to activate the lever for the platform without gettin' electrocuted !

So I always end there !
And there doesn't seem to be any switch to turn the zappers off or anything, so I really don't understand how anyone got beyond that room ???!    Undecided

Besides:
In spite of all recent updates, there's still the vicious unaligned ground floor between rooms # 9102 and 9101.  When you walk from 9102 into 9101 it isn't that tragic as Jack simply stumbles a bit. But try walking from room 9101 into 9102 and you'll die !!!   :'(  :o

Yes, that is a Jack Stuck which I meant to report but forgot. You have to arrive in that room from the left so you can pull the lever to open the doors.

Re: 9101
aquaMat, download the latest version. That area has been fixed so Jack can jump without being zapped. I don't know how anyone got past that point, either, before it was changed! I was stuck there, too.

Since I was already beyond this room I didn't notice the changes. It sure is easy now.

It was possible to solve the room before those changes. The solution had nothing to do with jumping through the zappers without being zapped. That was a red herring.

Thanks, brell !

I had only downloaded version 1.5 this morning (but not played it yet) so my comments referred to version 1.3.

I'll try the new one later today !

What good is going back up?

At first, I thought that this room was a red herring; so I looked for an alternative path (that would hopefully lead me to enter room 8903 from bottom left), which included jumping in lava, to no avail. :'(

Hi Arevn,

Go back up, and down into the room where the red and blue doors are with the big spider.  From here go to the next room to the left.  Check out this room for alternate exits.   (Sorry, I don't remember the room numbers.)

Hope this helps, Smile

Absolutely right Sandy. You need to complete 2 paths to get past both gray doors AND the yellow door. Since there is a virtual fork earlier that allows you to take either path you will need to complete both to get past that point in the mansion.

Believe it or not you can get past 9101 with the close zappers but only on a FAST machine. I can do it on my 2.4 MacBookPro but not on my 2G MBP. Weird. So I fixed it to work either way.

AND 3 people (besides me) have made it past 9503 with the rev before 1.5 so after the rev it's easier. I originally would lose one life taking out a snake or scorpion. I can now do the entire room without losing a life. I'll say it again: Use patience and timing and you can get through that room WITHOUT losing a life.

Remember, I DID say this was the toughest mansion we had created yet.
