Position Chart
#1
Is there a chart that shows how many posts it takes to advance to the next position? If not heres a start to one. I am not in a high enough position to know all af the position post amounts but here's my guesses. If any are wrong please tell me. Its laid out like this: position-# of posts

I don't remember the exact amount of posts but no one is upgraded to a moderator on grounds of number of posts. It is only Vern and the admins that can give someone an admin or a moderator status.

The most important thing to know is that the current software doesn't count the amount of posts in a right way. Almost everybody has more posts than you can see on our MMF. Speaking for myself, I must have nearly 1000. But that is completely unimportant. Better 10 good posts from you, than 1000 bad ones from me, isn't it? Anyway, an update of the forum software is coming and that bug will be fixed, as announced on THEIR boards.

These are the quotes:

Newbie 0
Lost One 2
Wanderer 10
Explorer 50
Adventurer 100
Treasure Hunter 250
Expedition Leader 500

:'( :'( :'( I want my Expedition Leader status back wahhhhh :'( :'( :'( No fair it was taken away... I was being good, wasn't I? :'( :'(

I guess I'll just have to earn it back....

Freddy would have like 1200 posts by now, I'd have like 700... but anyways...
Now Mikee and Aquamat are ahead of me in number of posts! :o Tongue Wink

While the number of posts is not so important Wink I am already wondering if YaBB 2.2 only will start counting good or also will correct the previous wrong counting. Hope the latter.

But I shouldn't hope that we will find our lost threads back. >Sad

Sorry everybody lost so many posts. I didn't know everybody lost so many. I figured everybody lost between 50-100. But now I see everybody lost a lot more then I originally thought. It seems like everybody loss about half of there posts. When did the Great Post Loss happen? Could it happen again?

Not to many posts for a Treasuer Hunter. But become we the Global Moderator not?

It was in the second half of July 2007, together with the real loss of posts. >Sad Especially from brell's topic about The Pirate Invasion; I believe that 3 complete pages with posts were gone. But also aquaMat saw that he missed one or most posts.

Although we hope that it will never happen again, we can't be sure. And that is why we try to do a
mission impossible
to create a system to make back-ups. It isn't so easy to do that, because all the directories of our MMF (posts, memberlist, indexes, layout etc.) is somewhere in the world on a server and one needs to have access somehow to make those back-ups. It is not like at home where everything is from your own and making back-ups is only a matter of discipline. Wink
