I Cannot Load any saved file of any custom mansion
#1
Hi all,

I have been playing some of the wonderful mansions you guys have created, and I am very thankful for that, these are absolutely thrilling, but I can't open any of the saved files of these mansions, they are saved in a folder named
A
, which is saved in
Saved games
folder where all other included mansions' saved files are also there.
When i try to open any of the saved file, which is of a custom mansion, it says -
The mansion file A could not be found, please make sure this mansion is in the Custom Mansions folder and try again

I tried changing names of this folder A, and the saved file itself, but nothing works, I am not too much of a technology savvy, sorry if this question is some normal silly one, but can anyone look into this and help me?

Ps - I use Windows 10.

Well, I don't know how it is on the PC but on the Mac and I presume on the PC you start th game and then choose Load game. Now you can choose which saved game you want to play.

yeah, thats correct, and when we select load game, it directly opens the saved games folder nd asks us to select the file, now all of the files work, except those of the custom mansions

Weird. I don't have any problem with the custom mansions either. Are you sure that the mansion file is in the right folder? I mean the mansion file and not the saved file.

Yeah I think so, because, if at all the mansion file wasn't in the correct folder, why would it be even initially playable ?

all custom mansions are opening, but their saved files are not.

Read the error message. there is a file missing or not in the right place.

For some reason, the PC version wants to save with just the first letter of the mansion. I tried changing the folder name, and the save file name to match the mansion, but it still thinks it should just be the first letter.

I renamed the mansion to just the first letter (The Bat House Becomes
T
), and the save works fine.
