Here's what I'd suggest initially. Let me see if a script I'd written can identify the problem signs and the rooms they occur in. If so, we could:
- provide that information from the download page for the mansion. Signs are usually optional and can be avoided if the player knows.
- ensure that Leo has the info (and knows what he needs to do to fix it)
Personally, I'd hate to see any of the admins having to spend lots of time hunting and searching for these very difficult to spot problems. This issue sounds very familiar to me. I wish I could remember what was done initially.

I just tried part of Jacques Rev. Part I and it didn't crash. Some of the text is cut off of the longer signs, like mick reported, but they didn't cause any crashes. I'm still using Snow Leopard, so maybe it's a problem with Lion, I don't know.

There are indeed some crashing signs in JR 1. Try the signs in room 16304. A short but intented text.
Btw. I'm trying PP easy and there seems not to be any sign problem there.

The crashes weren't repeatable using the older version of the game. At least, I didn't think so. It was specific to MM HD, that why I asked, because it wouldn't be something that would be caught in the Mansion editor.

Brell, where is the first one you see that causes the crash? Also, mick, which version of MM HD are you using? Are you using the latest version or an earlier one from the Beta testing?

I'm pretty embarrassed that I posted the info in the wrong mansion thread. My profound apologies to you all for the effort you had to put in to figure this out.
It is indeed Jack's Revenge 1. I'm glad I named the screenshot.
Also, Leo, I'm sorry I got your name wrong. I'm sorry I misattributed Palais Pompomrouge to you, too.
