You have to come at those rooms from above and to the left, and you'll need a purple key.

It's me again. In room 15304, how do you turn off the zapper beam that is located in front of the yellow door? I know that it has do with one of the switches in room 15303 but I don't know how to turn off the zapper beams to get to it or all of them. Can someone help, please?

Annie, one thing to remember is that all the yellow doors are optional - not a single one is needed to finish the mansion. They each contain
bonustreasure, and usually enough for another life. In this case, the yellow door will not be accessible until you navigate through most of the zapper section. You're right that 15303 is critical to getting here. The main thing is the levers with blue handles affect zappers. The levers with brown handles in this room open gray doors. Because the gray door leading back to 15304 provides a means of getting to the yellow door, you can pretty much bet it's going to to be the more difficult of brown levers to get to. This and the next section were among the nastier sections of DDD Hard. Congrats for getting this far

What am I doing wrong? There should be 15 yellow keys in the mansion, 3 for each of the five major areas. Each of these areas only has 2 yellow doors. The final (bonus) section, has no yellow keys, just yellow doors. Maybe that will help you narrow down which area it might be in. Given that, I could come up with a better clue.

Missy - I saw your earlier posts. Did you delete them because you figured it out? I was going to respond to the posts when I got back from work today, but saw that they were no longer there, which made me question whether I'd ever really seen them.
I'm going with the assumption that all is well and you were able to continue on with the mansion.

I also saw Missy's posts. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with our system.

Yes, I finally figured it out after spending much time in the map. I have to say that Dr. Demented was aptly named bcos it sure demented me while trying to figure it out. hahaha This mansion is one great, creative, tricky, puzzle mansion guaranteed to dement the player into wanting to throw their Mac out the window! hahaha That's how you know it's great. Thank you for sharing your creative efforts! |
