Spider palace any version

Has anyone been able to test Spider Palace?

I myself have been concentrating on the new mansions as they are bound to have more problems. I am not sure I will have time to get through all the other mansions to get to the Spider mansion, especially not in the Hard version.

Vern can we unlock the Spider Palace during the testing period??

I've been playing through the Normal Mansions. Only have 3 1/2 to go through (House of Baron Garneau, Great Escape, Castle Doom, half of Nightmare Mansion) before I can test Spider Palace Normal. Not sure if that unlocks all diffs at that point or only one. A code to unlock it would be nice, though.

It will only unlock the one on the same level.

Rose, you can always play it as a custom mansion.  Just select Open Mansion and navigate down to where the mansions are: Game Data/Mansions. Select one of the Spider Palace mansions from there and you should be able to play it. This should be fine for testing purposes.

I played Spider Palace Hard and did't find any problem

I tried plying spider mansion in Beta 5 but I can't start it as a custom mansion as I only see folders instead of the ordinary mansion icon
We still need to get it unlocked!

Yes but since Vern has made some modifications on how the included mansions play one can't be sure that they play in the same manner as custom mansions. The leverjump is one example.

That is true. I thought I recommended this before Beta5. There is still a lot that could be tested, even so. You could restrict yourself so that you weren't trying either a ladder or lever jump. If I recall, there aren't many opportunities to do either in Spider Palace. I don't believe I needed any of these unintended features to beat all three levels. There should be very few differences between a custom mansion and a built-in, but I definitely see your point.

You won't see a single mansion file (unless you zip the files up) or mansion icons like in the past. You select the top-level directory for the mansion and hit choose, and that should be enough to start it.
