Beta 3 - Tomb of Princes EASY [closed]

Update - this topic is closed. All fixes verified - all older issues regression tested. --Rob

I went through and have a couple comments:

15092 - A bit difficult with the red bird here. Perhaps simply a blue bird instead? I had to use a shield. Is that the intention?

15093 - Coming in on the top left, there wasn't enough reaction space/time and I fell over the edge there. Perhaps an extra block to be put there to ensure you'd fall onto the vine instead of death.

15296 - Eyeball bounces too high for easy, it seemed. Rather scary for easy players?

15297 - This puzzle was interesting, I had no idea at first. I initially thought that there was a mistake and you were meant to have a conveyor belt in there but you forgot to put it in, then I realized there was one. Then I later found the sign with the hintful poetry. Tongue Rather interesting. I would suggest making at least the conveyor belt visible or something, some players playing easy may have no idea what to do, as I did for a couple minutes.

15693 - You do realize you can use the broken ladder on the right to skip a whole section? Tongue By using that nifty ladder-jump trick, I managed to skip it. I would suggest making the ladder a different layer so it isn't climbable or simply removing it.

15695 - Platforms seemed too hard for easy here.

15700 - Zapper beams seemed a bit difficult with all the vine jumping action.

15901 - You can jump to the bottom right from the falling platform, causing a jack stuck. Well, you can jump back up, but you can also jump through into the room to the right and die.

Other than that, the last section with the gold seemed rather flawless I found and was quite fun, and I always knew where to go next by using my handy old map.

I finished in about 36 minutes with 75% of the secrets. That's a good length and percent for a first time run through.

You did a great job with cleanup from Beta2b. From my count, you cleared up at least 21 issues for this mansion. I only found a few minor things this time around.

15491 - Stuck: Just to the right of the vine (2nd row from the top) that heads up to the upper room, there is an empty square where I was able to get Jack stuck.

15901 - This was the one issue I sent you for Beta2b that you missed, or didn't fully clean up. Anthony reported it also, but I figured I'd send it again anyhow.

Fatal Decorative details. Somewhat similar to 15690. The area to the right and just below the falling platform on the right is an easy area for Jack to jump into and fall through the bricks to his death. Suggest that it be sealed up.

15902 - Stuck: Upper right corner, to the right of vine.

I'm pretty sure this was the room that Rose reported as part of
Falcon Crest
, which I think had both of us scratching our heads... since the room wasn't in Falcon manor.

Actually, you're not stuck, and can even jump *up* to get back to safety above. It's a little unconventional, but I think it's kindof cool.

I see that Anthony reported it as a stuck... hmm, I didn't get stuck here, but I didn't manage to jump to an area where I fell through the graphics unexpectedly.

It's possible for Jack to jump to unintended areas from this area, where he can fall to his death. Having fatal falls isn't such a big deal by itself, but the area where he falls makes it look like a game glitch.
