Beta 2 - Tomb of Princes HARD [Closed]
#1
Updated: This thread is now closed. Please open another one for Beta3 if you need to post for Tomb of Princes HARD.

15291 Jack stuck behind wall (see pic). He jumped off the vine to get the coins in 15292 and now he can't get out of the wall in either room.

17298 and 17299 Jack Stuck.

Jack didn't turn off the zapper beam in 17299, so can't slide down the pole. In 17298, he can't jump up from the disappearing beam to the ledge, and he falls to his death.

Actually 17298 is also a stuck if you get to the ledge without the yellow key. Hmmm - I reported that before...

One easy way to fix it and still keep it plenty hard would be make it so that Jack get back to the top of the middle ledge, and have to ride a falling platform down, timing it so the zapper doesn't get him.

OR, have a moving platform (moves right/left) under the pole.

I've attached a replay zip file - when you're playing the large section that has 3 purple doors at the top on the left and right sides, if you don't open the doors in the proper order, you can't finish. That includes opening the red doors in the proper order, also. I've done it twice just to make sure I wasn't missing something, and I don't think I am. Somebody please take a look at the movie.

14895 - middle floor layer 6 inconsistency. When Jack jumps in the middle floor, he jumps behind the first row of bricks above him, but in front of the second row. Recommend that the second also be added to layer 6.

14694 - On top level, to the left of the red lever is a stray block that is in Layer 6, and obscures Jack's feet.

Thanks! Sounds like there are some key order issues in those
upside down pyramid
sections. I'm not too surprised since I broke my brain a few times just making those changes from normal/hard without breaking it. Well, at least trying not to break it anyway. Smile

I will take a look at that after all the other issues. If anyone (*ahem* Rob) can think of a quick fix to this section let me know in the meantime. Otherwise I will do some surgery on that section in the next few days.

Thanks!!

Haha... I'll take a look at the movie first to see the pathway that resulted in problems. My guess it that *originally* everything was fine, and I'm afraid that the key I recommended you remove before Beta may have goofed things up.

Jacob - I see the problem, and I think I have an easy fix. It turns out it had nothing to do with my recommendation. It was something else. I just got lucky when I beat it before. I'll send you an email with the fix rather than post it here. I want to check it over carefully before sending it.
