And, it's selling well, which means:

A) I will be able to port it to iPhone, Windows, and make a Universal Binary for Mac.

B) I will presumably then be able to make a Midnight Mansion 3-- which will be a MUCH bigger upgrade to the game than Midnight Mansion 2 is. All graphics brand-new in high-res for one thing. And way way more additions than MM 2.

So to everyone who has purchased Midnight Mansion 2 - Thank You! This will enable further development of the series!

No, Vern, thank you! Big Grin
I've already gotten my 25 dollarsworth and I've only been playing it for a day. I'm glad you're doing well with it, you've created a wonderful game! I really do think it's a major improvement of the old game; It's just so new and better-looking. I'd definitely try to get in touch with some of the major game sites, as well... Maybe like Gamespot or IGN? I dunno. I've never produced a game, so I can't give much advice.. But it's good to hear it's selling well. I mean, who can't pass this up for only $25? It's really a perfect price.

Yeah, I've already tried emailing press released to sites like IGN. I think it's fairly rare that they cover shareware game news, and rarer still that they cover Mac-only game releases.

Which is why I'm hoping, once the game is ported to iPhone and Windows, that these sites will cover it!

Heh, we're gonna hold you to that Smile

More seriously... a Windows port certainly ought to help make that possible!

Hello,
Vern mentioned that he had submitted his game to IGN and didn't expect much of a response. However I submitted MM2 to JayIsGames at http://jayisgames.com/ which is a site that very much *does* cater towards smaller indie games.

I hope they publish a review of this terrific game!

I already beat you to it. Submitted to JayIsGames a few days ago. Haven't heard back from them yet. Yeah, hopefully they publish something about it. But it's possible they're not interested if it doesn't have a Windows version. That's the case with so many gaming sites.

Well, Vern, I hope somewhere sees it. I'd put this right up there with Plants Vs. Zombies, computer games-wise. (I think PvZ is one of the best, this being either tied or right in front of it.)

I also sent something to IGN about it... It probably won't do anything, but I might as well try.

How many people have bought the game so far, if you don't mind me asking?
