by the way: thanks to brell for fixing the board's name though it prevented the creation of an apostrophe's pedants' thread [smiley=evil.gif] ;D

Here's the old style of arrows. Are they better? I can go back to them.

A minor update is out,
beta 3b
-- please see the Beta 3 sticky for the download link (at the bottom). Once you try it, let me know if Jack's jumping on/off of platforms that move up/down feels any better. I think it's a pretty good compromise now.

Since starting Beta3 testing, I've started seeing some very minor odd behaviors that don't appear to be due to mansion design (from what I can tell, anyway). I'll go ahead and post them here, to avoid mixing them in with mansion comments:

Citadel of Dr. Cassiopus:

16707 HARD - Pulling the switch in the upper left side (behind curtain) causes the platforms on the water below to flicker. Game glitch?

16310 HARD - When riding the blue bat platform, an interesting thing happens: the brick background appears to bleed through the white arrow on the bat platform.

Magma Peak:

16096 EASY/NORMAL - I was climbing up the ladder and level with the lowest block over the lava on the left, and it flickered repeatedly, which seemed weird. Seemed like a game glitch to me. Once Jack is off ladder it is completely solid, and doesn't negatively impact game.

There shouldn't be any arrows at all on the moving bricks. i find that it usually is obvious which way they move.

In Dr DD Easy
16498 in this room the moving blue brick has graphical issues, flickering, when Jack has come back from the left and jumped up on the vine.

And another one from Citadel of Dr Cassiopus Easy. I copy and paste Rob's comment

16120 - Just noticed something odd, on this room, I walked all the way to the right and jumped off screen (to Jack's death). When that happens, there's a little strip that flashes above the water, and continues to flash until play starts again. Probably some minor glitch in the game - and not anything to do with the mansion. Seems harmless.

Tried the new version with different arrows to see if it made any difference with the bleed-through issue I noted earlier. The arrow is smaller so it's less obvious, but it still bleeds through.

Also, for the issue that Toybox reposted for me (Citadel of Dr. Cassiopus/Easy), room 16120. You don't have to die to see the flickering effect on the water. I also see it when jumping up and down in front of the tree.

I must try to quote this one out of context somewhere ;D

Yeah, there are some definite drawing issues in beta 3. I'll be looking into them! No need to report more instances of them for now.

As arrows go, the ones on bat platforms, I like better the current ones (they're less confusing somehow).

I wouldn't ming no arrow at all, as in principle it's relatively clear where the platforms go, but why not.

And what joeb said: the new Editor icon is :o lovely ;D
