Beta 3: General Discussion

Post bug reports about the game itself (not bugs that are specific to a particular mansion's design) here.

Please note: I've changed how a number of things work, internally, for beta 3. This could EASILY result in *new* bugs that weren't in prior versions. So be on the lookout!

Possible new areas: moving platforms (esp. the blue/black bat platforms), weather effects (snow melting, specifically), the map screen (does it show previews of rooms properly, or does opening/closing the map possible mess up the current room somehow?), etc.

Also remember to test suspending the game in various circumstances, as well as saving/resuming games.

is the icon meant to be back to the original icon? Also will there be a new Editor icon?

I have to remember, each beta update, to manually replace the icons with the new ones. I forgot for beta 3. But I will remember before the final release. ;-) Yes, the mansion builder will have a new icon.

Amusingly I am getting confused now. For me it is like a brand new feature, which I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to use :o

The colour change of the level is good and looks good to but I don't like the triangles on the moving bricks. It doesn't look good and I don't think they are to any help or they are too much help.

Ah yes, now you say it, I'm not too fond of the triangles either.

I remember they were an arrow in a pre-release of beta 3 Vern gave me to test out that wind effect for Jasperlone -- I liked that a lot, what happened to it? Was it too small? Because really with it just being a triangle, I can hardly tell which way it is pointing when I'm sitting back in my chair, it seems.

Personally, I find the Easy, Normal, Hard selection screen kind of boring. Kind of empty, lonely, colourless. Perhaps adding some more graphics?
