Beta 2: Magma Peak

15494 - Hard

IF Jack, while exploring, jumps to the RIGHT of the Bat Mobiel, he touches it, making it go down without him.  Now he has to die to get back to the other side.  hmmm

Also, if he proceeds even further to the right (accidentally blindly jumping), then he can't get back to the LEFT.  hmmm

There are 2 coins at the bottom of the middle chain. Jack dies trying to get the coin on the LEFT! It's kinda of a C.D.

I see that the problem with the upper 3 bricks has been changed. But this room really does not make sense to me.
Now that the upper left 3 bricks reset themselves if Jack climbs the far left chain 1st, but what is the purpose of the leaver over the middle chain? It only sends the 3 bricks on the left, FLAT up to the ceiling, then Jack has to leave the room to re-set them to access them. hmmmm?

I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. The leaver makes no sense to me.

The Medusa Head on this chain (now dead) was right on the chain & Jack died.  Pls check it out, maybe a Cheap Death.
Also, it made no noise nor did it turn to stone.  It just vanished?

17096 - Hard

Also, the 2 scorpions & shield in this room.....to me it is a cheap death.

Am I missing something???  There is NO Cha Ching in the Treasure Room!  hmmmm

As you can tell, I am finished testing this Wonderful Hard Mansion. This is the only mansion in which I found 100% secrets. :o

Semi-native: okay, 15897 is fixed for beta 3.

Missy: Good catch in 15696! Also fixed.

15494 - Jack *can* get back to the left by going down, left, and then up. But I'll change this room anyway.

16897 - Jack can get the coins by jumping up towards the vine. Not by climbing down the vine to get them. But I'll change it anyway.

My thinking is that not many players will realize they can jump on the bricks on the top-left. But some may still find the lever. You're right, for those who find the way to the left WITHOUT the lever, the lever is pointless. Rather, the lever is for those who don't find that other way first.

Think I should take the lever out?

For 17095, this is meant to be a puzzle. You're supposed to realize you need to kill the head by torch flame, while in this same room on the left side. I've added a 2nd head to this room on Normal & Hard, so it's more obvious you can't just charge right through them.

For the scorpions, you're right. Changed.

I just went into MLB & pulled the lever 1st....now the 3 bricks drop down. In my 1st attempt, going to the 3 bricks 1st, then pulling the lever, the 3 bricks ended up FLAT up on the ceiling and not dropped down.

In my opinion.....LEAVE THE LEAVER, but put some markings indicating that the leaver is there. On the outside of the brick wall, some arrow of some sort, matching the bricks or coins or whatever you think of????

Re: the Medusas.....I only realized that once they are killed by the fire, that they actually stay dead.  In most mansions when Jack leaves the room, they come back to life.  Perhaps a BB stating ie:  fire kills permanently??? something like that?  Sort of a heads up to the player, as this is NOT the norm?
