Hard

No problems found. Seems like good difficulty level for hard.

I'm curious what you thought of my changes to the initial section. I re-designed the structure of the mansion quite a bit, added a lot of keys/doors, etc. Did you find it made it more fun, or was there too much backtracking? Hopefully, it added variety to the mansion, so it was somewhat worth replaying.

After playing so many mansions for testing, I couldn't tell what design changes you made, sorry! I do like the mansion, it's fun. Yes, there is a bit of backtracking, but I don't think it's excessive.

What do others think about that?

Oops!

I just realized that Blackheart Keep HARD was NOT supposed to make it into Beta 2. The first section is indeed
harder
but the rest of the mansion is still the same as Normal. Sorry about that! Don't test Blackheart Keep on Hard mode for now.

16100 Normal - Coming in from the top left, players don't have enough time to react to the spider, it seems. Sad

Easy

No problems found. Nice mansion.

16696 and 15497

These rooms have a lot of both yellow and two-colour moving platforms. I may have missed something but the two-colour platforms appear to be unnecessary (unless they are there simply to make Jack's life more complicated) as I was able to negotiate both rooms using only the yellow platforms. Another point is that in both rooms the platforms go right up to the ceiling – it would be more elegant if some invisible stopper bricks were added so that this didn't happen.

I finished Blackheart Keep Easy. Like mapman I only used to yellow platforms to complete room 16696 however i only found 80% of the secrets need to play again to find the remaining secrets.

15697 - Easy

The purple key can be p/u without Jack moving the yellow bricks.  Is it suppose to be that easy?  Jack has it now, but it was over the invisible spot he is facing in pic

Finished Easy Mode, this is all I could find. I did notice the change re: the blue key, the brick covering it.

I agree with you Semi it IS a Nice Mansion....
but, yeah, the but....
The back tracking for me is a bit to much.  Easy Mode, lowest level not eventful enough.  Some of the rooms do not have much going on in them at all.  (Lowest Level)  Perhaps more decoration would help? Or a hidden vine (found when jumping) leading to a secret room/area?

Missy -- yeah, I think the purple key is supposed to be that easy to pick up.

Could you give specific room numbers for the areas you felt were too basic or needed more decoration? I looked at the lowest level, but it seems to be decorated just fine.
