JS in PomPomRouge part 3
#11
Thank you Sherry and Windrider......

In the 2nd JS, Jack jumped up to the brick from the ladder.....he did not fall from above as I just noticed in your last post.

These 2 JS are due to cracks between the rooms, I now learned something new. But, testing out that kind of fall between the rooms is tough to do, when there are so many places for Jack to jump from.
Yes, you're both right.....Thank you.

Leo, I know that you are keeping an eye on the posts to see if I missed more JS in order to perfect the game. I am really sorry.

No, I am sorry but I did not jump up there from the ladder. I fell down from where I said I did and fell to that spot. I have not been through the room with the ladders yet. When I die, I keep re appearing exactly in that spot. I fell there from the first room - the first picture that I posted to the room in the second picture that I posted. I must reload from the previous save point because I have to let ALL of my Jacks die anyway.

Yes, I know, maybe the way I wrote it was not clear. I (me) jumped from the ladder to the brick in the lava room.....You evidentially jumped or fell from the room above.

Its the falling from the top room down below that I have to remember to pay attention to. Which is pretty hard, since there are so many places for jack to fall from when he's trying to jump. Cracks, I have to remember there may be cracks between the floor when jumping.

In respect to your pics, I do know this spot very well.  And I agree with Rose.....this is not a J.S.  I have landed there, as that level need many changes, so I had to go thru that level over and over.  That particular lava area was very hard for me to get thru, so Leo built me a temporary disappearing beam, to get over the lava.  But I only jumped up there once and discovered, firstly, that Jack could die to get out, and secondly, that that was the wrong direction to go, so Jack didn't go there again.

Jack is not stuck there.....he can fall to his death.....that is why I did not report it.  The rules stated that a JS is when he can't get out and you have to close the game to get out, thereby loosing all your progress.  Perhaps we should include this sort of thing as well???

But it was nice that Leo changed it. That spot really bothered me.  I should have mentioned it. But having said that, there are many places like that in many mansions, and they do not consider it a JS, because Jack can fall to his death.

Actually, a situation where Jack can get out of a
stuck
situation by sacrificing one life, is called HJS or half Jack-stuck, perhaps better explained here.  I understand, however, that this is not the case here, as Jack always reappears in a deadly situation.

As administrator of these boards, in charge of Vern (the big boss of Midnight Mansion AND the Midnight Mansion Forums) who gave me the authority to run these boards, I am afraid I need to close this topic for a while.

I think I needed to do that because:
1° I need to move all posts about beta-testing, which are out of topic, to a more a appropriate place;
2° I need to remove all parts of posts of which I tbelieve that they are too offending (see Vern's extremely clear and exhausting post about this issue: https://actionsoft.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=419).

Both things I'll hope to do in weekend. As well as uploading an update of Palais Pompomrouge. If anyone wants to say something new about 'Pompom', PLEASE START A NEW TOPIC.

For now, I like to say that any new mansion-designer and any new beta-tester is a BIG PLUS. But I really like to say some things about it, very soon. As well, as I like to suggest to (re)play Immortal Ruins and to explain why there were so few posts about it. And NO, this is NOT out of topic. Wink

I know it's been said before, but this is one amazing mansion. Definitely the reason for red eyes in the morning! I promised my grandson we will have a PP marathon at my Halloween visit. Thank you, Leo, for so much fun and frustration (add a cheesy smile!).
