Beta 4: Dr. Demented's Den
Rob, Semi Native please have a look to the jpg attached: I'm blocked in this section with 4 yellow key. I can't go ahead and I can't go back. The green blocks mean that in that places the grey doors are closed. Have I loose something? HELPĀ  :'(

The gray door in 16904 (on the left side) is a mistake - it shouldn't be there. The zapper is what was intended to block your way here. Not sure how that got in there. Also, it looks as though the ladders in 16906 and 16907 are both broken. If you fix the ladder in 16907 then you should be able to open the gray blocked door there, and go down the ladder to get the purple key down there. There are a lot of medusa down there. The timing I used for this room should allow you to snatch the key and get back, but it leaves very little time to spare, and I had to jump over a medusa just starting to come in through the floor.

With this purple key you should be able to work your way back to the top. I see a Jack Stuck... One of the purple keys is behind a purple door, which means if you choose the wrong door, then you're left without a purple key for the other door.

I'll put out a quick update in about 30 minutes.

Update: Looks like the ladder is not broken in 16906 - it's a layering glitch.

Quick update with following changes:

16506 Removed conveyor belt.

16507 Removed lever in bottom level, center. The H trigger makes this lever redundant, and allows the room to be finished *far* too easily ;-).

16904 - Fixed gray door that shouldn't have been there.

16906 - fixed minor layer 6 issue

16705 - Moved purple key that had been in this room to 16707.

16907 - Fixed ladder and removed unreachable coins. It looks like the top level in this room gained another row of tiles making ladder unusable and coins unreachable. Not sure what happened there.

I'm going to try and put at least one more update out tonight that includes the rest of the recent issues.

Heh... no, I just need to make sure it moves and ensure it isn't blocking the way. That was originally intended as the way out. To take you all the way to the left until you cannot go any farther, then upward.

Maybe you're right, though. It may be more trouble than it's worth.

The more I think about this the more I think I'm going to modify it. The green platform is going to go away. I'm also going to seal the open space on the left, and get rid of the zapper.

Thanks, Jim - good catch. There will be a fix in the next update. As you go through, can you specifically look for things like this? There shouldn't be too many at this point, but it would be good to be sure.

Well, then how is Jack supposed to get out of that area? I don't understand where he goes when he's finished with that whole gray/zapper area.

15508 Jack Stuck. Jack died and reappeared on the left-most ladder near the bottom with silver blocks on. He had nothing to step onto either top or bottom of ladder. I'm adding a sinking platform to get out of this.

16908 Jack can lean down and get the purple key (by push-ups). If this is what you intended, it's not supposed to be in an included mansion. Also, the lever on the falling skull/moving platform trick isn't good for an included mansion, I don't think.

16708 Too hard with all the fast zapper beams. Also, Jack can't get down the ladder (bottom right section, 2nd ladder from the right to the left of the spiders) because a tile is blocking his head.

17108 The jump over to the conveyor belts is too long. Also, the left-most lever doesn't do anything.
