I know what you mean.... in this mansion there is not the usual
I had to do it like this, as I wanted to include the little gimmick, that you can already see the exit in one of the first couple of rooms but can't get there until much later.

gold chamber w/ exit room, instead there is plenty of gold in the last few rooms before the exit.
