Civilisation 2 was, surprisingly enough, a big progress as compared to civ. 1. Many loose ends got tidied up, I'd say (like you don't *have* to build stuff when you have everything you want already :
, but not only - though I'd be damned if I remember what it was which was so impressive!). And the French translation in civ. 1 looked as if it was made by the Google Language Tool thingie :o
