It might not be worthwhile - have you looked at their release notes to see new features/bug fixes? If there are any security improvements then that might be nice depending on what they are.
I've spent some time recently monitoring the error logs and new registrations, and I was a little taken aback by the number of attacks that happen daily - especially considering it was just during the short periods I was monitoring. I check email, usernames, and IPs against spam tracking sites, and if I find matches, I will delete the user (if they were successful at registering), and note them in a spreadsheet I've been keeping.
After only a few days, I have over 170 entries. I am starting to see repeats from IPs and usernames across several IPs.
