Congoron Caves (now goron grotto)

Now I am wondering if I am trying to solve 15910 incorrectly. It was my assumption that I was trying to put the moving platform in the middle of the bridge so Jack can get across. I have sort of

accidentally on purpose

left the money bag on top of a brick and had it land by switching brick colors. Perhaps I just can't make the long jump across the bridge?
