I think you must be referring to the new features that have been added to the Mansion Level Builder.
I think Open room ID… is new in the file menu (I don't remember it before but it might have been there). It's very useful for quickly finding rooms referred to on this forum.
In the special menu Count keys/doors… and Find sprite in mansion… are new.
To use Find sprite in mansion… you just highlight a sprite in the row above the room picture and it tells you how many times the sprite appears in the mansion and in which rooms. The first picture shows the result for those nasty eyeballs in Mount Peril Normal. There must be more than one eyeball in one or more of these rooms (15 eyeballs in 13 rooms).
Count keys/doors… shows the total number of each colour keys and doors and is very useful for the builder to check that there are equal numbers of each. The result from Mount Peril Normal is shown below. Whoops!!! (but there might be good reason for the discrepancy – I haven't played the mansion).
