Beta 2 - Tomb of Princes NORMAL [Closed]

Update: this thread is closed, I'm in the process of gathering all the issues, and checking to see what was fixed and what wasn't. --Rob

Hey,

I'm currently going through one of the new mansions, Tomb of Princes, and I already have a couple of notes

14895 - I feel that the small area closed of by the grey door in the top let-hand corner of the room should be a bit wider as it is almost impossible pulling the lever without the scorpion killing you, it just needs to be a tile wider but then again it's my opinion

Update: Fixed in Beta3

15297 - Here, the framerate dropped from 61fps (windowed mode) all the way down to 33fps, I would recommend taking a look at that room. However, I've seen room that have much more object in them than this one and they don't lag.

Frame rate reports have been noted, but as far as I know, no action has been taken on them.

15298 - There are two things I think that need to be changed in this room

             1 - I think a bit more should be added to the background here (such as darker BG tiles or a BG image) it just seems a bit empty

Fixed in Beta3

             2 - if you stay on either of the first few falling platforms, you'll safely travel to the room underneath as there is a platform right at the top. I don't know if this is intended, but if not, I would add some lava at the bottom of 15298 or make the platform in 15498 lower so Jack would die if he fell down

This was not addressed in Beta3, and is a pretty big issue. If Jack is allowed to survive this fall, then that's a pretty *huge* shortcut through the mansion. I sent a msg to Jacob about it.

15299 - Same emptiness as 15298

Fixed in Beta3

15494 - In the Layer 6 blocks to the right, I think that the Secret icon is a bit high up as it only counted the secret when I jumped

Updated: Corrected room number. Also: this was fixed in Beta3.

15702 - Here, the framerate dropped to 28fps

15494 - In the top right-hand corner if you go to the left jump the jump to the right, Jack will get trapped on one of the bricks (JS(attached image - just look for Jack's feet in the top right-hand corner))

Fixed in Beta3

17299 - Another room that lowers the framerate, this time to 32fps

That's everything I've encountered. I got 88% secrets so there may be another bug or two

15095 - The ceiling in this room should be put into Layer 6, or at least the portion immediately above the column on the right side.

Room 15902 - Jack Stuck - see pic, Jack's feet upper right. He jumped off the vine onto the bricks.

Fixed in Beta3

14894 - When Jack is at the top of the vine, he can jump to the bricks on his left and then up to the level above the vine. Not a Jack stuck, but thought I'd mention it. It forces the player to abort or go all the way around again.

Remained the same in Beta3 - sent a msg to Jacob to be sure he didn't want to do anything for this.

Finished with only 70-something% secrets, I missed a section at the top somehow. Great mansion, I love it.

The Jack stuck in 15494 reported by Leon above exists in the Hard version, also.

It was in all versions of ToP. I believe it was also in a separate list of changes I sent. --Rob

15697 - Inconsistent ceiling bricks (some in layer 6, some in layer 4, seems accidental)
