But it really is. See screen shot. Even if the bricks are changed to silver, Jack still can't get out (the next room is no help).  I've added a lever at the top right (to the right of the gold bricks) to toggle the gray doors, so I can get out.

Out of curiosity, does this only happen after Jack has been through the Goblin rooms, and enters the area from the pole in the other room? That's the only way I think this could happen normally. I'm trying to  capture the events that would have led to that condition in my head... even by looking at the screenshot, and I don't see how it's possible otherwise.

Keep in mind, I'm not denying it happened - it obviously did. I'm just trying to understand it. ;-)

If it happened as I suggested, then another way to fix it would be to add an addditional door and switch in the upper left which would force Jack to put the doors back in
good
state prior to leaving the room in the upper left that way the doors would be fine when he reentered the area later via the pole.
I'm in the same situation: yes, it happen when Jack has been in the Goblin rooms and enters the area from the pole. I'll add an the additional lever

Maybe this means something... the emptiness could resemble to say to the player to just give up now, for all that awaits you is nothing but an empty sign ahead. Saying it bluntly on a sign would be so not brilliant, so it has to be a riddle form: have the player think about it, not knowing what is coming, not a hint for them... or something.

Lol I have no idea. :Smile

Room 16507 - Another void board

Room 16506
- How could I catch the yellow key in the square?
- If Jack go to the right, to room 16307, with a jump is ok but if he walks he fall down and dies.

Room 16507
- Why the blocks go in that position?
- If  Jack jump to the room on the right he dies on the zapper beam: is what you want or is a mistake?

Room 16506
- How could I catch the yellow key in the square?

Looking at the screen, it looks like there may be a few issues.

If you've gotten the purple key, then all the trap doors should all be open. I'll have to check that. Also, I thought that the Eyes would be gone (also from obtaining the purple key) If they've reappeared, that's also an issue, because it will be a cheap death when grabbing the yellow key.

The idea is that there's a blue bat platform in the screen below where the yellow key is. It is activated by a mechanism which is on the same screen, though only accessible later in this area. Activating the platform, then backtracking to where the platform is so you can access the yellow key requires a bit of exploration.  It's a different sort of challenge than the other yellow keys in this area.

It's a lot like what Jack had to do to get one of the red key in the last area - just scaled way down.

If Jack go to the right, to room 16307, with a jump is ok but if he walks he fall down and dies.

Heh... the main thing is I never intended for Jack to be so resourceful as to be able to travel to the right from either of those two rooms, so there's a bit of work that needs to be done to make it impossible for Jack to do. The fact that those rooms were left (or made to be open) *was* deliberate, but it was intended for exit purposes (moving from right to left).

I will fix this tonight for sure, and try to put it in the latest update, which will include the new room next to the where the Troll drop is (back in Area 1). The new room is very tame:

* It will be lit up
* Have a sign or two
* A few jumps, and
* a save point that a player can use before going down to where all the Trolls are.

As an aside, I wish I could there were two kinds of save points - one where the user can save AND get the additional lives, and others that are simply locations that the player can come back to.

The intent behind the blocks is intended for two purposes:
* to bring the yellow key to within jumping distance of Jack,
* to try and discourage you from getting back to the area where your Jack is in the image, so guess I need to do a better job there.  I definitely underestimated Jack's jumping ability.

Incidentally - how was 16507? (aside from Jack being able to exit to the left and right).

I expected to hear more complaints about it. So long as you're careful and take your time, it's not that hard. It's having the patience that can be hard. I spent a lot of time time on it, and toned it down. I hope I didn't make it TOO easy. It's one of my favorite one-room challenges in the Mansion, but I *definitely* didn't expect people to enter it from the left side.

Room 16507 is ok, I like it. The only thingh I don't understand is why the lever 7323 moves the blocks down

I didn't want Jack to have to go up via the ladders and get the key. I wanted him to be able to stay where he is and have the key come to him.

Part of the reason I didn't want to Jack to  climb for the key, is that those gray doors on the sides of this room were supposed to open after Jack got the key, but I don't want him using those ways out of the room, yet. I've made some adjustments to the room so I don't need gray doors or L6 walls - so I shouldn't need to make all the blocks come down anymore.

Room 16904 - There is something strange in this room:
- to open the marked grey door jack has to pull the lever in the square
- to reach the lever jack need the bat platform in the left
- the bat platform appears only when jack reach the
T

so... Undecided
